    My own opinion after having different sets and brands on different basses (anybody else's opinion could differ...): half-rounds combine negative sides of flats and rounds while having none of the benefits

    I've had the bassmax a while ago for close to 8 years or so and it never really worked for me perfectly like I wanted. Sold it for close to nothing to a friend and bam! on his bass it worked wonderfully. I guess this pickup is really fussy about the bass and the bridge you install it into...

    Sold my first bass 2 months after I've got it. It was cheap and horrible, didn't regret it even once

    I have Chromes on my Tele that I use as my Jazz guitar. It has a neck humbucker and together with the flats it all emulates the jazzbox sound somewhat convincingly.
