  1. I would better have a bass with holes that plays well rather then the opposite
  2. As others say, you need to move this bridge back, maybe 10 or 15 mm
  3. You need to move the saddles farther away from the neck
  4. When I molded my Bronco, I used individual bridges to get this tighter spacing. You vcan get down to 16 mm with those
  5. The foam is there to make the height adjustable, it pushes the pickup up and you can vary the height a bit with the screws. About the bridge: your threaded saddles allow for some lateral adjustments, but don't go too crazy or the string will slip sideways back to the center. You need to pace your bridge so the strings are nicely centered over the neck first, then place the pickups so they are centered under the strings, then you'll be able to adjust the string spacing _a little bit_
  6. You'll need to remove some wood then. But placed off center like it is today it won't work great. Allparts is better than Artec - at least this is a good news
  7. This neck pickup is completely off-center, no wonder the E string isn't picked up properly! Ideally you should be moving it left (towards the E). Also, if this is one of those "Artec" gibson-like pickups, then these aren't great to start from and any misalignment will make the string balance worse.
  8. The only stock PJ basses that I liked were Yamahas. Other than that - the J felt underpowered in most other basses...
  9. Get one of those "dual rail humbuckers in Strat casing", these just drop in without any modifications.
  10. Got this Squier Jaguar H last July, just an impulse buy on its looks. Still not sure I'll be keeping it but it for sure looks nice
  11. A bright orange metallic with big flakes and I order one immediately
  12. G&L custom shop - they know what bold bright and sparkly is. This is dark and shy.
