I recently purchased Paul's Overwater bass. He was very honest in his description, and generally a top man to deal with. Cheers, Paul.
cabs lost by city link? that sucks Jay. I hope it all works out for you. GLWTS (from another south east kent player)
Thanks mate, hopefully all will be resolved eventually. I've seen your band advertised in various places, but never seen you. Anything local coming up?
love to see some picture thanks
HI, I'm currently away from home on ''Best Man'' duties, but this is a rather awful picture I found on my phone. Proper pics to follow when I'm back. Incidentally, the white TKS cab in this photo is one of a pair that I recently sold on Basschat. They were lost (read STOLEN) by Citylink shortly before they went belly up. I'll start a proper thread regarding this issue when I get a chance. YMMV of course...
Thanks for the vote of confidence
My 'words of wisdom' were aimed at all, not simply 'long-established members', and are valuable for all ads by all sellers. Just sayin'.
Fair point, I'll update the thread with pictures asap.

I'm letting my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 go as I seem to be stockpiling amps at the moment. I bought it brand new a couple of months ago, and as such it is in absolutely mint condition, with all original packaging, manuals, gumpf etc. Everyone knows how awesome these are, properly fat tone with next to no weight. *SOLD*
Sounds good, thinking about an Aguilar Tonehammer 500 with one of these - any opinions?
I'm currently using a TH500 with two TKS 112's. They sound amazing, real old school weighty tone with bugger all old school weight. I have a tweeter so I can get a zingy slap sound, but tend to go for a more punchy/fat tone these days, which this combo dishes out in spades. It proves that you don't have to put up with a mediocre tone in order to have light weight gear. Job done.

Swell B-Peg - Twin Channel Valve Overdrive *SOLD*
jay-syncro replied to jay-syncro's topic in Effects For Sale
Here's a link to a slightly odd review with some less than great soundclips. It does however show the actual finish of this pedal. Pics still to come. http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/Swell_B_Peg_V3_Bass_Overdrive_Pedal_Review I'm after an acoustic or electric guitar at the moment so will entertain trades. What have you got?? -

An amazing, rare, all valve pedal with two channels and independent gain stages. I Purchased it for a project that has since folded, but used it to turn my solid state head into a vintage sounding valve amp, with the ability to have a low gain channel (which i had on all the time), and a high gain channel (for a volume boost/more distorted tone etc.). More info here: http://www.worldmusicnashville.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=161&category_id=44&flypage=flypage.pbv.v5.tpl&page=shop.product_details&product_id=1591&vmcchk=1&Itemid=161 It is in excellent condition, and comes with a high quality 240V to 12VAC power supply. It's blue, not gaudy pink as shown in the link! Pictures to follow this evening

I played through an SVT/8x10 at Guilfest a few years ago with a reggae band. We had a quick sound check on stage and I thought it sounded awful. Really distorted with hardly any low end at all. One of the roadies suggested I turn the amp down and let the monitors/PA do the work. As soon as the monitors and FOH were running, it sounded incredible. Mic'ed up SVT at low volume + 10k PA is now my rig of choice
