1. I'm thinking of moving on my Mesa Scout combo as I rarely get the chance to use it. It's the 4 ohm, 15'' version with the more recent addition of the player control network. It packs a ridiculous punch for its size/weight. I've upgraded the valves to JJ Tesla's, as they give the amp a bit more clean headroom. I've also upgraded the fan, as the originals are renowned for being a bit loud. The original Mesa Boogie valves and fan will be included if you prefer to return it to original spec. I'm after £800 collected from Margate in Kent, or I can post at the buyers expense. If I get the asking price, I'll also include a hard case for the head. It's really useful if you intend to whip the head out of the combo and use it with another cab at a gig or rehearsal venue for example.

3. Deal with Steve in confidence. He recently bought my Deluxe Jazz and it was a great, hassle free transaction. Cheers! Jay
4.
Do you have any pictures? Is the neck maple or rosewood?
The neck is Rosewood, are you not able to see the pictures in the original post?
5. I'd prefer a cash sale, but PM me if you have a trade offer.
6. I'm thinking of letting my '97 Deluxe jazz go. It's in ridiculously good condition for its age, there's hardly a mark or scratch on it. It is completely original, with the excellent noiseless Suhr pickups and Fender hard case. It's been set up with a new set of Elites and low-medium action. It plays beautifully. Here's Sharay Reed showing us how it's done on a five string version. I'm after £700 collected from Margate in Kent, or I can post at the buyers expense.
7. I'm thinking of moving on my Aguilar cabs as I've gone back to using Mesa. I bought them new from Phil at Bass Gear in Twyford around a year ago, and have been a big fan of their sound, lightness and general sexiness. They are Classic Black with the silver grille, and are in fantastic condition. I've carried out the popular mod of adding rubber feet to the side of each cab to enable them to be stacked vertically. This is done by using the existing corner protector screws so it's completely reversible, but it's useful to have the option on tight stages.
8. Whatever this guy is using. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pATcvr3zAhg&feature=player_embedded
9.
heres all my stuff
Nice Boglin.
10. I can vouch for Mr bigjohnson. He's a top man, and the amp really is like new. I'm hoping somebody offers him a bass in a trade deal for the amp, as his Ibanez SGR is pants!
11. I bought a Sadowsky preamp from Chris. He was a pleasure to deal with and a total gent. Cheers, Chris!
12. I picked up my Custom Precision on BC a little while ago. After being initially pleased with the bass, I noticed that the action left a little to be desired. To cut a long story short, I ended up getting the fingerboard leveled, and the whole thing re-fretted by Andy Crockett of Crockett guitars. I thoroughly recommend Andy to anyone that requires repair or set-up work to be carried out, as he's an absolute genius. When I got the bass back from the 'shop, it was like a different instrument. It now plays and feels as good as it looks and sounds!
13. I've recently purchased a QSC K12 from Si, and couldn't be happier with the way the transaction went. Extra points for packaging, although it took me about 15mins to get through all the shrink wrap! Thanks man.
14.
That’s why we get sold perfectly round, perfectly red, unblemished and tasteless tomatoes, because Brits go for looks rather than substance. For me, if it sounds good then it is, end of. Barefaced have been criticised for their looks, but these guys are making their "super" cabs not starting from the visual but from the audio stand point. I appreciate that design ethos If your sound is stuck in the 60's then you’ve always had cabs that meet your need and that's good for you. In my opinion, bass players have never been able to sound as good as they can today.
Horses for courses. I'm not knocking the concept, I just fail to understand why many of the 'new breed' of cab manufacturers seem to put aesthetics so low on the list. Why spend so much time and effort producing a 'super cab', then make it look like it was knocked up in a shed.
15. The Baer cabs look ok, but those Thunderchild designs look horrendous. I may be missing the point, but surely they could of come up with something better than that? The first word that springs to mind is 'Maplin'.
16. Used this with a reggae band last night and got high-fives all round. Jah approves of this bass.
17. Sorry to hear that mate. I should add that if the bass I'm after gets sold, this will be removed.
