1. I've decided to offer up my Sadowsky Jazz. It's a beautiful thing, but unfortunately the joys of home ownership are proving to be slightly more wallet-bashing than I'd envisaged.. I bought this after trying a load of 70's Fenders and not liking any of them. I eventually worked out that what I wanted, wasn't what I wanted, and that in actual fact, I wanted one of these! It's the most versatile bass I've owned. The passive tone control allows you to adjust the overall feel of the instrument (in active and passive modes), and achieve the perfect tone. It's all very well sounding like Marcus Miller all the time (he seems to do well out of it), but for a lot of tracks/gigs, you need the smooth thump of a P bass. Solo the neck pickup, roll back the passive tone control, boost the bass slightly and you're 99% there. It's in good condition, but has a few marks here and there. It's just like this http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars_detail.asp?stock=13082714360549 I'm in Margate. I'd prefer collection, but can post if necessary. Sorry for the awful pictures, I'll put some decent ones up when my camera is back in action. 2. Yep, that's right. I've used them in the past with great results, but rounds seem to work better on my latest P.
3. I've just put these on my newly acquired P and within about 2 minutes decided I prefer rounds. They are fresh out of the packet. The D and G are uncut, the E and A naturally have had about an inch trimmed off for fitment. They are 45 - 105 standard gauge. I paid £30 + postage for them. I'm after £20 plus postage. My fickle mind = your gain!
4. Purchased a Precision from Lozz, great guy to deal with and he even dropped it off in person. Cheers mate.
5.
Bollocks! I've just trawled to the end of the thread to find it sold! I really wanted to trade for my Compact.... Never mind.
Typical!
6. Thanks for the interest, but this is now sold.
7. It's definitely ''Gert beefo''! I don't really want to post it, mainly due to the agro of finding a box big enough, buy for those interested, it should cost around the £40 mark with insurance.
8. Plenty of interest, but it's still here type bump.
9.
Jay, I don't suppose you want package it up and send it to Carlisle do you?
Pm'd
10. It can indeed. I wouldn't want to go any great distance carrying it with one hand, but as it has casters fitted, you don't need to. I seem to remember reading somewhere that it's around the 22kg mark, which seems about right. HxWxD - 1000x610x340.
11. Buy this > paint it orange > attach ad200b > take over the world.
12. Are you not in to two-tone? Actually, I couldn't advise the use of two of these. You'd be in terrible peril.
13. Thanks guys, agreed! I should of mentioned that it's also for sale.
14.
Hi would you take my Mark Bass traveller 210 as part ex? Its in good condition, no marks, tears or dings ? It was never pushed, only used in small gigs
I'm not too keen on Markbass cabs, thanks for the offer though.
15. Hi mate, It's a whacking great 2x15 that's designed to be used with all valve heads, in that it's the right width (24''?) and it has an old school vibe. That said, I use it with a MoMark head and it sounds awesome. I've never tried a cab without a tweeter before, but I'm now converted (and I've been known to slap when provoked). Jay
16. I'm offering up my BF Vintage for trade, as I'd like to move to a slightly less imposing cab. I absolutely love this thing, but it's a bit over the top for my current needs. So much so, that my amp generally runs at about 20% at gigging volume! As we all know, Barefaced cabs are extremely light. This is no exception, and the very shallow depth make it a breeze to carry single handedly. It fits in the boot of my Golf on its side, meaning there's loads of room for other kit. I love the tone of the Vintage, so ideally I'd like to trade for a compact (or two!) but I'd consider other BF cabs too. 17.
hi.. is that 4 or 8 ohms?
Hi, it's an 8ohm cab. I've been using it with an EBS HD350 (175w @ 8ohm?), and it's pretty thunderous. Easily able to keep up with a five piece band.
18. I'm moving on my EBS HD350 as it isn't currently getting used. It's a fantastic head that despite often being described as 'Hi-Fi', can easily produce great warm and growly rock and funk tones. It comes with a well used but serviceable 2U rack bag, which has ensured the amp itself is in almost unmarked condition. I'm after £350 including postage within mainland UK.
