Clover Avenger 4 featuring an American Alder body, Canadian hard rock maple neck and fretboard with 24 frets. It has a glorious electronics setup incorporating three custom single coil Delano pickups, the rear two of which can be used as a humbucker, or independently switched to enable 60's or 70's jazz bass flavours, and a Delano three band preamp with an active passive switch. A great feature of this pre is that it'll work without a battery so no worries about your bass cutting out on stage 😎 Bass is located in Margate. *Price drop to £600*
I just can't believe this is still here ,It's the only digital Head that I've had that doesn't sound like a typical digital head .
I can't either, Kevin. I think a lot of the 'Class D sound' comes from the use of switch mode power supplies, which is maybe why this sounds more beefy as it has a proper toroidal transformer. It seems folk are happy to pay £300 for a distortion pedal that sounds like a bee in a jam jar, but this is of little interest. I may end up keeping it as a studio/backup amp as it's really rather good...
Thanks for the comments on colour - on reflection, this could be cobalt blue (a colour that I think Christian has used in the past). The board is lovely - do you know if its Rio rosewood?
I'm not sure on the origins of the Rosewood, but it's a lovely looking piece of timber.
I've owned a good number of Celinders over the years - the best J's available IMO (and I've tried pretty much everything). Is this LPB (and can you comment on condition?) I'm not sure that Christian is still building - too many difficulties In the past decade
Thanks for the comments. I believe it is Lake Placid Blue and it's in amazing condition considering how old it is. It has the odd sign of general wear as is to be expected.

Absolutely pristine Musicman Stingray HH complete with Musicman flight case and case candy. This was purchased by a collector and NEVER used, so real opportunity to grab an as-new Stingray for a decent price. It has a gloriously smooth feeling maple neck (much like my old Sadowsky in feel, but slightly chunkier), along with the classic Stingray electronics and additional neck pickup for added versatility. It also has a one piece Ash body which looks great in the flesh. Edit: The bass was 'born' in 2009, but if anything that makes its condition even more remarkable. Thanks to skb558 for the heads up. Collection from Margate, postage is a possibility

Without a doubt THE nicest Jazz bass I've ever played. Hand made by Christian Celinder in the early 90's, it is a thing of beauty and absolutely nails the early 60's Jazz vibe in terms of feel and tone. The neck is perfection and the custom Celinder pickups allow notes to leap from the bass in a way I've not experience on another instrument. These are currently available from 4000 Eur new (£3600) if you can bare the lengthy waiting list/build time. It weighs in at 4kg. Collection from Margate, postage can be arranged but would prefer collection/meet up due to the nature of the bass.
