1.
I have one, short on power it ain't. And Mr Syncro is a gentleman to deal with, too, if I may say so.
Cheers, Paul 👍
2.
These are really great strats. I have a surf green version from the same year. Fabulous value and terrific craftsmanship on these. Have a bump on me...
Agreed, thanks for thumbs up.
3.
I think that's my old Strat, isn't it? In which case it's specifically a 54 Reissue with the V shaped neck.
It is indeed, thanks man.
4.
Yes, in spades.
+1
5.
Might be interested in the Quilter, as I'm looking for more output than I get from my TC Classic 450, since recently buying a lovely but very power-hungry PJB cab. I've read good things about the Quilter, but never heard one. I like a clean transparent sound that cuts through the mix. Can it get that sort of tone?
Absolutely, it's clean as a whistle set flat with the option of going from a phat old school type of sound with one of the tone knobs to a hi-fi scooped sound with the other. It's incredibly powerful too, I used to own an RH450 years ago and found it hopelessly under powered at gigs. The Quilter is a powerhouse.
6.
Have a 'top bloke and thanks for the Berg' type bump........... and that Quilter is a wicked bit of kit too - thanks for letting me have a go on it, if i needed another amp etc........:-)
Thanks mate, haha GAS is never ending!
7. Jon just bought my Berg cab and the deal was Basschat perfection. Cheers Jon, enjoy! P.S first dibs on your Stingray if you ever sell it? P.P.S... and your ABM...
8. Berg now sold, Quilter Bass Block still available 😎
9. Photos added - https://flic.kr/p/W5PZge
10. Thanks for the comments chaps 🙂 Both still currently available.
11.
Sold the power amp?
This is now sold, sorry.
12. Quilter Bass Block in as-new condition complete with the Quilter gig bag. 800w of power combined with a fantastically intuitive preamp that's impossible to make sound bad. It's also ridiculously tiny. A lovely amp. £450 Collection preferred from Margate, can post if required. Link to photos - https://flic.kr/p/W5PZge
13. A beautiful guitar made at the Fuji-gen plant In 1995. It's seen a fair amount of use and has the marks to prove it, but it's all genuine play wear from years of gigging. It's completely original other than having a compensated nut. The rear cover is missing unfortunately but these can be sourced cheaply. The flight case in the pictures is included. I'd like £500, but will consider trades. https://flic.kr/p/VK1BzN https://flic.kr/p/ULbpiX
14. I recently purchased a bass from Nik and can echo the excellent (and extensive 😄) feedback he has received in this thread. Even though the bass was inexpensive, Nik packaged it extremely well. Everything was exactly as described and comms was excellent. Thanks, Nik
15. Fender Custom Shop '54 Precision Pickup. Great original 'light relic' condition. Looks and sounds the business. I'm now after a split coil P pickup so ideally after a trade for something decent. £45 posted to your door.
16.
So, does anyone actually own one still? lol
I've got a HD210, sounds great and is a breeze to move around 👍
17. Ashdown Retroglide 800w powerhouse. This has been my backup amp for a while and has lived in the front of my gig bag, so has picked up a few marks along the way. It is however 100% functional and sounds great. I'm after £275 including postage to your door Ashdown blurb: Ashdown has worked with a number of FUNK Masters over the past 30 + years of making bass amps, the desire to create an amplifier which meets the requirements for absolute fidelity, clarity, precision tone shaping and masses of power for stunning dynamics continues to this day. The result is the Retroglide-800. Hand built in the UK Custom Shop the Retroglide is an 800 watt funk powerhouse with hi & low impedance instrument inputs, 12-band graphic EQ @ 30hz to 15Khz + or – 15dB, post EQ balanced DI output, mute switch with LED indicator, Output protect LED indicator just in case things get to hot under the hood, line input, effects loop and speaker output Neutrik combi jack/speakon connector. All wrapped up in a stunning and lightweight 3kg head. A hand machined 6mm alloy panel adorns the front of the Retroglide, machined to protect the sliders from being knocked in transport. Housed in an engineered mild steel lid, designed to protect the input and output knobs as well as provide a steady airflow for ventilation. Ashdown’s Mark Gooday said ‘the Retroglide really takes me back to my roots as a bass player, pure, simple tone at your finger tips’. Building bass amps has been much more than just a job for Gooday in his 30 + year tenure in the industry ‘bass has to be felt to be appreciated and with the specific frequencies available on the Retroglide you can sculpt your own tone to stand out in the crowd, currently awash with powerless & toneless imitations of a bass amp. The Retroglide does exactly what you would expect it to’.
18. This visually and sonically stunning amp is in tip top condition having never left my house! These really are phenomenal amps that seem to dwarf other micro amps in terms of power and volume, while offering several cutting edge features. It also looks amazing. Pics and full spec to follow, but it's as new and includes all the Darkglass packaging, bumf and the magic pedal. I'm after £675 and am located in Margate.
19.
That Xotic...
😎
20. This is a genuine Fender USA Precision anodised pickguard from a '57 reissue P bass. It's marvellous but I no longer need it. £25
