Fender American Professional Jazz Bass in immaculate condition (film still on the pick guard). The upgrades Fender have added to the new Pro Jazz have really taken it up a notch, this really is a fantastic instrument. It appears to have a quarter sawn neck (correct me if I'm wrong) with a fantastic smooth finish that makes darting up and down the neck a breeze. I've read reports of the new V Mod pickups having a low output, but this bass has an output equal to my active Moon! It has a fat bridge pickup sound and perfect Jazz slap sound. *SOLD*
I really fail to understand why this is still here at this price. When late 70s precisions go for what they do it makes no sense that this bass is still here. 82 - 85 basses are marvellous. They were built alongside the first reissues which command high prices. Quality had returned to Fender. These basses are superb and, I am sure, will be highly sought after as people realise this was a great period for bass building at the Fullerton factory. No more massively heavy late 70s building. Please someone buy it and put me out of my misery.
Agreed, thanks for your comment 👍

Due to he combination of too many basses, not enough time to play them and my '83 Precision and Alpher not selling, I'm having to offer up my Wak Mk1, AKA the King of basses, The Don, El Hefe. It's a stunning bass with the original case in fantastic condition, the electronics work perfectly and it sounds unbelievable. it weighs 4.5kg and is an absolute dream to play. I'm located in Margate A quick snap found on my phone - Proper pics to follow

I bought this recently as I needed a compact amp for some dep gigs. It's a great little combo and is extremely compact and yet easily keeps up with a live band. It has a huge amount of features which you can learn more about here - http://www.laney.co.uk/products/nexus-sls-112/ I particularly like the valve preamp, it sounds thick and warm which is quite usual in my 'class D' experience. The headphone amp also sounds great, so much better than the iPhone interfaces I've been using. It's IO is pretty much unparalleled on any bass amp I've seen, and it looks classy as hell. What's not to love 😎 I'm in Margate, pics to follow (it's immaculate).
Does the 33 scale feel much different than a 34 ? How do they compare ?
It doesn't feel drastically different but I find that the F seems like less of a stretch to reach. It's more noticeable when you go back to a 34'' scale after playing a 33.
Beautiful facings Jamie, and the red silks look great on it! What year..?
Hi mate, thanks, Shedua is such a nice looking wood. It's an '86. I seem to have had a few mid eighties basses recently and they've all been fantastic.
