1. 80's/90's Trace Elliot 15'' Speaker. 250w, 8 ohms I removed this from a huge Trace cab I bought around 10 years ago to replace with an Eminence Neo jobbie. This made the cab lighter and sound worse. I had forgotten I had this until it was discovered in the loft. £15 collected from Margate
2. I recently saw a Markbass combo on Amazon that was around £200 cheaper than it should of been. The odd thing was that the shop seemed to be a domestic electronics outlet with a few token (and very cheap) Markbass amps in stock. I emailed to sound them out and had a reply the next day stating that their account had been hacked..
3. Joseph Kaye sold pending the usual.
4. Thanks chaps, I'll consider trades if you'd like to PM me although I'm currently at full capacity for testicles.
5. Thanks chaps. This is now sold and off to a good home.
6. Due to an expensive project I'm having to sell (at least) one of my basses. As these two are fairly similar it seems logical to put them both up for sale and let the market decide. 2. Xotic XP-1T A great bass with possibly the best preamp I've ever used, with the ability to go from vintage loveliness to modern hyped tones in seconds. This bass gets pretty close to the Joseph Kaye vintage tone but in every other way the design has been improved to make it lighter, more ergonomic, more comfortable to play and more versatile compared to Leo's design. It feels very much like a Sadowsky in terms of build quality, and has the benefit of Hipshot hardware and the original Xotic gig bag (Protec Contego). I'm looking for £1250 collected from Margate, or i can post at cost.
7.
Cracking amps these, often think I'd not sold mine and kept hold of it, but gas being gas...
It is a phenomenal thing. Likewise, GAS is my undoing.
8.
Went for a retinal scan today and they put eye drops in that makes vision blurred. Thought it said £465! If only... Dam those retinal scans! GLWTS
I'd be tempted to buy it at that price 😬
9. Incredible amp that really does seem to defy the laws of physics with its diminutive stature and stage rattling output! This one is around 4 years old and comes with a gig bag (not AER) to allow you to sling it over your shoulder. Collection from Margate or can post if required. Pics to follow.
10. Reduced to £400 while something I'm after is still available.
11. Not on the two that I played. It actually made me wince much to the sales chap's dismay. I've always played jazz basses (among others) and the noise on the Yamahas is far greater, maybe due to their increased output vs a Fender pickup?
12. Hold on, are the above basses replacing the 1024/2024? If so, they appear to be going backwards..
13. I walked past the Yamaha Store in Soho recently on my lunch break. I popped in and ended up trying the BB2024x. Nice bass but the pickup hum was atrocious with the bridge pickup soloed. I Also tried the 5 string which was much the same. Are they all like that? Seems a bit of an oversight considering they're nearly £3k..
14.
Thanks for that - and the deal is the preamp, power-amp and 3U rack case? If so does the 3U case cover/protect the rear section of the power amp? sorry for all the nagging questions!
That's right, I can include the 3u rack in the pics or a full size 4u rack. Both have front and rear covers
15.
Lots and lots of power! May I ask what sort of cabs did you use with this amp?
Indeed, and very versatile in terms of the cabs you can power with it. I currently use it with a Barefaced BB2 which is a great pairing. It's quite an experience to hear the pair combined with an EBS octave pedal. It's like you're DI'd into a couple of 18'' subs!
16.
These are fecking wonderful poweramps. Pretty much bombproof.
Agreed, and incredibly light weight too. The flight case feels empty when you pick it up!
17. Pics added. Can include a shallow 3u or a full size 4u rack type bump.
18. I think someone is selling a Matrix GT1000FX and Basswitch preamp in the classifieds.. *ahem*
19. I have a '57 P made by JKG and it is a thing of beauty.
20. Forgot about this ad bump.
21. Matrix GT1000FX poweramp complete with an RMI Basswitch Classic preamp. This combo satisfied my curiosity for a pre/power combo able to deliver 1000w into 8ohms in a compact lightweight package. Matrix info - http://uk.matrixamplification.com/gt-1000-fx-2u.html Basswitch info - http://lehle.com/EN/RMI-Basswitch-Classic-Boost Both items are in excellent condition. I'd prefer to sell them together as they pair so well. Collection from Margate or can post at cost https://www.flickr.com/photos/146983977@N08/shares/MPM06W
22. Awesome. I've recently received a Faith and Grace Precision and it is a thing of beauty.
23.
Where are you based please?!
I'm in Margate.
