I used Interparcel/UPS when i last sold gear on here. My only quibble was that the site offered collection between 9am and 1pm. Although this wasn't guaranteed 4.45pm was a bit naff. Otherwise no problems
Looks as if KMC have all the non-core brands like Takamine now. Fender concentrating on their core business and letting everything else sink or swim under a holding company?
It certainly looks that way, they've hived off everything they didn't know what to do with...some good brands there as well 😕

It's the number of basses that is required to quell your GAS....which could be quite a lot

There have been a few discussions on Facebook involving members, both those still here and those who have left, that have raised Wayne being banned. The mods, 3 or 4 of them, who have commented have eluded to there being a more involved back story to the banning than maybe has been let on by Wayne himself. And the mods who have spoken, albeit wisely in a limited way, are decent guys. I got on with Wayne. I did a couple of good deals with him. However, in recent months I think his posts become unnecessarily antagonistic, not that it bothered me, I just ignored them. I did notice on a couple of occasions mods pick him up publicly. He broke the rules, he got banned.
I like to cut the scone in half, then spread jam before cream on one half and cream before jam on the other, people just can't cope with that.
I think you're being unduly provocative, please stop now.
I particularly like the photos
What photos? Are you sure you've posted on the correct thread?

I have the rumblings of GAS. I've been waiting for a review of one these cabs in a live situation and this is all very positive, all the more so since I currently own a 410hlf. Definitely food for thought

It is somewhat odd that the forum is being portrayed as a bear pit of bad temper and arguments on the one hand and then tBBC always crops up as some marker of the halcyon days of basschat. Troll doesn't even come close, i don't share others nostalgia for his continuous offencive posts. Several of the old guard who have 'left' were as ready as anyone to engage in a rigorous debate...what it seems now is critisised as being argumentative. There's always been big bust ups on basschat...usually in the early hours of the morning. And one has to ask one's self, how many times can one discuss the pros and cons of flats over rounds
I read the 'Why I soldy Ric' at around lunchtime yesterday - it was at 3 pages I think. To save me about 14 minutes in reading the rest, could someone please summarise the thread here?
Just repeat the first 3 pages
I've just read his new one 'Why I sold my Precision'.
I hate sequels
put it this way i would rather play covers all night of chic than play the original music that this band has.
Time to move...

Do you/your band rehearse with full gigging set-up?
Marvin replied to Lozz196's topic in General Discussion
We pretty much rehearse the same gear as we'd gig...We haven't got any other -
Options are severely limited where I live. My band is lucky at the moment to have a slot at a decently priced place. The problem is though that it's not being maintained and it's only be open a year. Other bands leave ttheir gear there and treat the floor like an open bin. There's only one other dedicated studio in the area, it's not easy to get to and only open 2 nights a week.
I've heard loads of 'em, and I'll still be wrong...
I'm probably way out as I chose what everybody would think was most unlikely. Only 2 others agree with me

Should every bass player play at least a little bit of guitar
Marvin replied to CHW's topic in General Discussion
i can't play a little guitar, my hands are too big.... -
The nearest I`ve got to this with the lightweight gear is my Aguilar Tonehammer into a Barefaced Super 12T. It`s almost there, but the SVT into an 810 has that bit more. But having helped carry said SVT/810 rig, I`m never having one. Plus am still waiting til I use both Super 12Ts................
Good grief, you'd be in danger of realigning the planets 😯
I'm part basing mine upon my previous listening to the 15 and 12 TKS cabs, that and the second one sounds most different.
This is clearly an unfair advantage and you should be disqualified
What is this "heft" we're talking about? Surely there's nothing that can't be achieved with some clever compression and EQ?
Never use compression. Have you learnt nothing on this forum?

What's the general standard of player who reads Basschat?
Marvin replied to lou24d53's topic in General Discussion
I'm crap. There you are, I said it -
I said that too...
Great minds etc etc And a week is way too long, we'll all pop from anticipation
It's not one of my favourites either, Marvin, which is why I couldn't be bothered to sit down and work out what's on the record - especially as the bass line is pretty grim. I thought somebody might have written a half-decent arrangement that I could simply 'borrow' , using the sheet music. Michael Buble's bass player does quite a nice job of it (it's on Youtube), but it would take me a day to figure out what he's doing. Anyway, I'm outnumbered - I think everybody else likes it. So I have to make the best of it.
My guitarist mentioned covering it again the other week. I listened to it the other night and totally agree, the original bass line is a real dogs breakfast.
