1. Took this combo for a pub gig tonight. I was very afraid that 300 watts was not enough. However, it did very well. Guitards happy that the bass didn't sucked al their lows up in the mix. Soundengineer happy that he was able to make a nice FOH-mix. I was very happy: great sound and combined 15 kg! 3.
I'm sure this is explained in a thread somewhere already, but... at Alex's request, this particular Compact has been taken off the 'national' tour, as his latest cabinets have improved designs and he'd rather people see the latest version. I'm hanging on to this one for a while - with his agreement - because I want to have a really good go with it before I consider selling the Bergs. Also there's a few people around here want to have a go before it goes back.
That makes me curious: do you consider replacing the bergs with 1 or 2 compacts? (or a compact & midget?)
 4. Interesting! Which head pushed out the most volume in the 8 ohm Compact?

 6. Interested when it becomes for sale.

 8.
Hi folks I used the compact last night at a theatre gig. There wasn't a huge FoH, or an elaborate monitor set-up, so we didn't put any drums or bass in the stage mix. The Compact, again, was a star.
Nice playing and a good drummer! Since I am heading for a Classic 450 and a compact; can you tell me how much you cranked the amp up?
 9.
I currently have the load of a Shuttle 6 with GB 112 cab and it really sounds great - Imlove their cabs as well - here's a nice bit of music from a trio I love with their bassist using this exact amp + cab combo:
Great! As an Shuttle 3.0-owner I recognize the Shuttle in his bass sound. The 9.0 seems to have some extra lows. However, if you like the melowness in the bass sound in this video, the Shuttle is the right amp for you. I always turn in some extra low mids for some punch. I need that to be heard in the band mix.
 10. Rosewood. And get rid of those pup covers!
 11. As you can see I'm also a proud owner of a CIJ 70's RI. I never played an american standard, so I can't compare. My experience is that this bass effortlessly keeps up with two distorted guitars in a rock band. That can not be said of my Marcus Miller sig. However, the sound soloed is a bit boxy. But I don't know if that is typical for P's (I never played another P). Also a very large pre: a white P with black PG and rosewood neck works great on photoshoots!! Striking impact! Girls all over!! (...wakes up...)
 12. Rich was the man that I bought a body, bridge and several other parts from. He's great on comms and extremely reliabel and trustworthy. Highly recommended.

 14.
Have you sorted this out yet? I can do it if you can get the ply round to me
That wouldn't be easy, since I live in The Netherlands. Are there any other options?
 15. So I'm still curious if there are any BFM-builders in UK or Europe. I really don't have the time or confidence to start a building process. However, I am really interested in BFM-cabs.
 16. I owned a Le Marquis for 9 months. Pros: Cheap Reliable company (Sono MS) Sounded great with Wizard 64's (much better than my Fender f'in Marcus Miller) Cons: QC Fretwork not to good Factory strings do suck I really had a good time with it. Never played a Squire, but if the difference in costs is not too big I would order a Classic Vibe Jazz. (based on the reviews I read here and on TB)
