1. Hi Dave. I see from your signature tou've got a TCRS212. I play my Terror through and RS210 and an RS112 and it sounds glorious. The TC cabs are a very good match to my ears,
2. No problems from sound people at gigs here. Still loving the amp.
3. I'm 6 months in with DR Black Beauties on the Precision. They last a fair while, feel lower tension than most, are smoother on the old digits and sound nice and beefy. Plus black strings look cool. I was a Rotosound RS66 user before that and had no complaints apart from they're a bit rough and they lose the 'zing' fairly quickly. I have tried Ernie Balls and D'Addario rounds too but didn't like them at all. I also tried flats and they feel very nice but don't go at all with how and what I play. I actually miss the old cheese graters and I think I will probably go back to Rotosounds next set up. I do miss the trebly clang and zing of a fresh set of Roto's. Fingertips and regular string swaps are a small price to pay.
4. Nice review. I've been thinking very hard about one of these as an alternative to my usual precision. You may just have put Mastercard on alert.
5. I have passed this ad on to my 6'9" guitarist......
6. Black, black or preferably black. I had a mirrored plate on a 2 tone sunburst Precision for a bit. Looked hideous.
7. Have to agree that garageband is excellent. Good fun too.

The old bands album. I like the cover but can't bear to listen to it any more.
9. Played the Grey Horse in Kingston on Saturday night. I'll quote from our guitarist as he's put it so well. "I've got to say that The Grey Horse is a great venue. It doesn't seem like it should be a great venue. The lighting is not great. There are no follow spots...no lasers...no smoke machines. There are some seats that make it look at times like you might be at a school play. There is just a mic in the kick drum and mics on the vocals. It shouldn't be this good. But you know what...the place is magic. We've played there twice now and each time something happens between us and the audience and together we manage to rip the roof off. It starts with apprehension and a ripple of excitement and by the end we are all dripping with the thrill of the show. A proper Saturday-night-forget-all-your-troubles rock show. Maybe it's just my imagination cause I was delirious after gulping down honey (don't ask) and yelping through a fast and furious hour long set (with a genuine encore!). I can't say it'll happen every time we play. We just hope it does." The most enjoyable gig I've played. The audience were right up for it. We showboated spontaneously and with abandon and played like demons. The Orange/TC rig sounded amazing and I was grinning from ear to ear all the way through. I wish all gigs were like this. I couldn't sleep I was on such a high afterwards. Headlining the Half Moon, Putney Saturday 24th July next. Can't wait.
10. Another new one's up. A slice of rock reggae called 'Somewhere Else' with woofy bass. We're pretty pleased with this one. Jetsonics Myspace
11. I use a very un digital sounding Orange Terror head through a TC Electronics RS210 and an RS112. The RS210 is easily enough on it's own for gigs and I use add the 1x12 just because I can. Anything that needs more volume than that gets PA assistance anyway.
12. I do have some Gentle Giant and Man hidden in my collection.
13. Called 'Satisfied' up on the Myspace site. Jetsonics Myspace I'm really pleased with the mix. Recorded with Steve Lyon whose produced Depeche Mode, the Cure, etc.
14. ...The Grey Horse, Kingston. We're up against Cameroon v Denmark. Thank you Fifa fixture person. Support from the Schizophonics. I'm guessing they're a two piece quartet?
15. Back in dear old Blighty. It all went rather well. It was at the Pepper Mill not the Pepper Pot and it was sitting in with the resident band rather than a jam. The band were incredibly tight and pro. They included a fiddle/mandolin player and a sax too! The bass player played mouth harp while I relieved (ahem) him. We did some blues songs in G that I can't remember and a song called Suzie Q which I'm not familiar with but managed to get done OK after some very brief instructions. I even played a Fender Jazz and enjoyed it! Played through a little Carvin head and two Aguilar 1x12s. Sounded nice. It was a good confidence booster to play in front of a lot of dancing people without making a mug of myself. Don't ask about the bar crawl that ocurred afterwards. I was not a well man next day.
16. I'm doing my first one ever tomorrow night. The Pepper Mill, San Juan Island, Washington State. Wish me luck. ........how does the blues go again?
17. I'm drooling. That's really lovely.
18. We did some tracks with a proper producer/engineer in a proper studio who's worked with people even I have heard of on Saturday and it was really hard full on work. We got what the producer called extremely rough mixes on Monday and all felt a quite down hearted. Although the instruments sounded great tonally and the mix and quality was miles ahead of anything we've previously done we could hear all the little bits where we a gnats out of time and fixated on that. It's Thursday now and all I can hear is some good songs that will get even better once he's done his magic on them. The couple of timing issues will easily be fixed with pro tools magic apparently. I'm dead chuffed now with what we did. All I could hear when I first listened was the bit where I was a millisecond late on one intro and then I went stone deaf. Just really putting this out as a warning to take time to reflect after you've done a recording that's out of your comfort zone.
19.
I enjoy the fact the drummer tried to be friendly about it, then slagged me off to threads down. Does he think I wouldnt read it?!
The clue's in his job description. He hits things with bits of wood.
20. I'd buy another bass. It's only worth modding if the neck and body are nice. You never get the money you put in back either.
21. I've just read through this. I would say from my experience one or more of this band are fantasists who feel they are being totally reasonable. The ones who aren't fantasists haven't seen the light yet. What a bunch of ladies bits.
22.
really....indeed a man of many, err, erm talents....is this one on it?
Tune! Vaughn Toulouse. What an AKA. No. That's not on it. This'll give you a flavour...... "He went one night to troll the 'Dilly"!
23. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=841840 Carl said something nice about me too.
24. It's a jazz mag bass.
25. Gaye Advert played one for a bit. That's stupid money for one. Nearly a grand over priced if you ask me.
