1. up up up Also if anyone wants to tempt me, I might be interested in a double bass, tradewise
2. I wouldn't mind joining, but you guys are based far away from me... good luck
3. They do hold their value, but are slow to shift I'm trying to sell mine and have yet to get offers. And like Cetera says they hold the old price, they are fantastic instruments.
4. Can we see some pictures, I'm interested.
5. I have on of the 98' series in Cherry red and they are trully fantastic instruments
6. I have notice that there have been lots of threads about prospective buyers, saying. "I want to see this in an add" "Why don't people do so and so" Sorry but most posts in the sale section have more info than you usually get on a online shop (depending on the shop) and a lot more than what you get if you walk into Bass Cellar, probably they don't even know what an extention cab is. If you are interested you have to do your research or ask the seller, but don't take it as gospel, because if I said to anyone I play in a rock band and never use the volume above 3 and if the buyer wanted to return because its not loud enough for their band I'd refuse. People are getting lazier and lazier nowadays, what's wrong with doing some research.
7. I'm not really looking for trades as I need the cash, but I'm happy to sell to Belgium
8. What it said... And take your bass around every so often, you never know when one of the band mates don't turn up and they ask you to fill in
9. I'd still speak to them directly. They may offer you more than what Proel is offering.
10. Have you spoken to MarkBass directly? I have told this to another user and he found that they provide great customer service. I would try that avenue first then look at other alternatives. @EBS - I don't it has nothing to do with small amps, look at trace elliot for example, they are big strong and fail like every other, these are machines and their components don't last forever. Same way a car in the 60's would drive for 30 years fine and nowadays a brand new car will strugle to reach the 10 year mark.
11. Warwicks for me I tried to love them and couldn't so I bought a Spector
12. That's so groovy it hurts
13. Cheers Rayman, bloody economy, well xmas will be upon on us soon, there's hope
14. Help me out here... 650 plus views and hardly any interest, where am I going wrong? Is it the price, the pics, the advert, the bass itself? I can't figure it out. David
15. I really need the cash so Final Price drop £1000
16. Maiden are the nuts, saw them in Portugal in 98 and again in Twickenham in 2008 and they still rock my socks off. Good old metal as it should be
17. That is not the case, there are some people out there that would prefer a Fender over a boutique bass anyday for playability reasons. Boutique instruments are not always best, sure they have the best woods and the best finishing and the amount of customization usually is fairly high but they are not by any means the best basses out there. And Fender managed to have half the world playing their instruments for half a century that's saying something
18. speed test is the best one. That seems pretty low i'm doing 6800k on dowload and 350k on upload no wonder you can barely watch a video
19. Thanks guys Monday morning bump Ziggy banks should be open by now
20. Hi all Rough times to say the least, unexpected bills and some other stuff taking a lot of my time and now my gear. For sale only is my beautiful Spector Euro LX 5 with a Natural finish, fitted with elixir strings and the new tone pump with the trim pot, this was installed by the bass gallery a few months ago and a full setup was also done. The bass plays great and it’s a looker even my fiancée was surprised that I decided to sell it, but like I said I need the cash and maybe sometime in the future I’ll have money available to buy another. Bass has a finger mark above the neck pickup but nothing much and a few marks here and there but nothing major as you can see on the pics no belt rash on its beautiful back. So it comes with a Spector case that wasn’t originally sold with this model, case has a few scuffs but that’s all, the manual, alen keys, strap locks, I’ll throw in a Levy’s strap and the Hercules stand as well, stand doesn't close anymore thought but as you can see the Spector fits perfectly. . The bass is in great condition and has served me well; I am looking for Final Price drop £1000 but open to sensible offers. Bank transfer or money on collection would be preferred, I am based in Kent but could arrange to meet up halfway depending on the distance, alternatively I may be able to bring the bass to London and you can pick it up from there, I work in Putney. Pics below and also a few more here. 21. This is kinda funny we had the same conversation in my last band. I usually take time off around xmas and NYE so any corporate functions we can do are always up until the week before xmas, after that I'm with my family and like to spend xmas and NYE with them. So to start I wouldn't be playing anyway, in the unlikely event that I would be here, I'd want at least double of what i normally get paid. We were getting £100 a head so £200 plus drinks and dinner sounds ok. mind you I always said that I know people willing to play but they never wanted replacements.
22. Point well made Tim, and as an "european" I agree most people are "too" nice to sack someone, I had that experience in my last band, our guitar player always busked songs and the other said he was a great guitar player. I found it odd.
23. Hi Roy And welcome to the forum stick around. I'm happy to send this on parcel force but it may take a while I don't really have much time to arrange a collection and need to scout for packaging. Of course you would have to pay for post and I'll only send the amp after clerance on my account. Hope this is ok Cheers David
