5. Indeed they are. It has been the best amp I ever owned hands down. For those who wonder why am I selling it; I have no prospect of playing in bands for the next few years and have sold all but one bass and now its time for the amplification to go. Knowing me I might be coming back to playing in maybe 5 years time and by then there will be new gadgets I'd want to try so there's no point in keeping the cab and amp laying around.
6. I was asked for some pics of the F1 and here they are. Like I said a few scuffs David
7. Price drop £750 combined Cab - £350 F1 - £400 Thanks David
8.
Hi David, Totally confused about how to reply on this site, so hope this is reaching you. I'm interested, especially if you're ready to sell the MB F1 head too...? I'm in Reigate, so only a stone's throw away... Regards Rob
Hi Rob Thanks for the interest, I might be looking to sell the F1 as well please do make me an offer. Thanks David
9. I have to be honest, some of his music I find pretty boring, although I love his chordal skills. But I've watched a few of his videos and lessons and I find him a pretty down to earth guy, I'm sure I'd enjoy some lessons with him.
10. Pretty boring if you ask me, technique wise he's good, (i'd get confused with so many strings), but his groove is awfull
11. Hi Samkeen I'm looking for £350, the price is in the title but I guess I should put in the post as well. Thanks David
12. Hi all For sale my new finish TC Electronics RS210 in mint condition gigged a couple times and have been here in my living room for the past year being played at low volumes, so low that I should be ashamed. Comes with the official cover and I'll throw in a speakon cable as well. (nothing fancy) Collect from Kent, Sevenoaks, or somewhere not too far. £300 for the cab Thanks for looking David

17.
David, are you having a crisis of confidence? This is pretty natural when you're not playing in a band or the band you're in is not doing gigs. You just need to remind yourself that you can play. Within the bass players set of qualities that we as bass players aspire to there are some key abilities that are needed to play in a band. Theses are, in order: 1. Face fits/right pace at the right time. 2. Reliable timekeeping/transport 3. Good gear 4. Be able to play root notes by name. The rest is all just filling. Hope you find a band soon. In the mean time chill and play along to some old tracks that you know well and do some ear training to some well known tracks you don't know yet. You'll be surprised how simple some of them are. or find a jam night!
Hi Tim Long time no speak. Hope all is well with you. I think that's it a suberb lack of confidence. Maybe afraid of getting in the game again. I've started working on scales again, and downloaded an app to train my ear, tried that on the train today and I seem to do well with ascending intervals, not so much with descending. Much work needed I think. I'll be trying to learn some of the Dave Matthews Band songs I have the transcriptions for, by tapping the tab bit and force myself to read. Should be fun.... Does anyone know of a software that does the same as the tascam bass trainer? i.e. loop a section speed up slow down etc
18. Thanks guys. Seems like I'm not the only one then. I know some theory, Modes...and I know my way around the fretboard, but the learning by ear gets me everytime. At the moment cash is short to get some lessons, so I'll have to learn it in some other way.
19. Evening So I'm now 28, and since I was 16 I've played in covers bands, trios or some sort of outfit playing covers. I never learned to read, and can't learn a tune by ear. I blagged my way through bands, by learning the chords from the guitar player or using tabs, which I still do. Last year in April I played my last gig, and since then I've been without a band mostly by choice though. But now after a year without playing I start to feel the bug again and slowly start to make my way into bass. But I realise that I'm a fake and that I can't cut it as a player. I would like to play originals with a band or with a singer but my first problem would be to learn songs that are already written, since I can't learn by ear. At the same time I thought of selling the rest of my stuff, (i sold a bass and a cab last year) and find something else to do since I've been a big fake for years. Alternativelly, I could just try to forget everything I learned so far and start from scratch, but I'm not sure how to. I'm in two minds really Any thoughts welcome...
20. I have yet to get a reply from Jules, godo to know they found their new man/woman
21.
Probably should have thought of this before, but if I back the volume pots down to around 6 then the signal cleans right up no matter the playing style or tone adjustment.
Yeah but there will be a day in a gig where you want to raise it and can't.... Before you do anything else, open the back and check for a small trim pot, where you can adjust with a small screwdriver....maybe you already have the new tonepump.
