5. Well - I had an audition for a band today and it's a goer so I'm pleased to say I'm no longer homerless. They play nice stuff too and I sh*t you not, I have never in all my life heard vocals as good as this. My last band was good - very good, but this is an entirely new level so I'm really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, they were so pleased with what I did, they've asked me to do my first gig this coming Friday. Yikes I only know a third of the set. Anyway - just like to mention that I used my Euro 5LX for the first time with the newly installed ACG02 preamp and, whilst I had to do a bit of twiddling to get it bob-on in the mix, it sounded absolutely marvellous. I was really pleased with the versatility of the thing and it was a real joy having just one volume control - something I didn't like about the stock preamp. Happy days
6. Sold Phil my Bergies - a miracle really because I couldn't find his bloody house Phil's a great bloke and it was a pleasure doing business with him. Proceed without caution.
7. Tell your wallet to be afraid
8. Too true Stu
9. Just played it through my rig and all I can say is fanbloodytastic - I'm saving my pennies to stick one in my Rebop now
10. I'm not sure where to post this but I just want to say that if you're thinking about changing the Tone Pump in your Spector for something else, then I can't recommend the ACG02 highly enough. My good mate Peter (GreeneKing) fitted one to my Euro 5 LX, which I picked up yesterday and I couldn't wait until tomorrow to try it out so I've just nipped home and played it through my rig. The bass still sounds like a Spector but warmer, richer, more controlled (tempted to say compressed) and more musical to my ears. It's a quality piece of kit and extremely versatile too. I'm so pleased I chose the ACG02 over the other preamps I was considering - it sounds fantastic and all my fears about getting my head around the filter system were completely unfounded. Don't ask me to explain what it does or how it does it but I know it works and it's a lot simpler to use than I expected. Muchos gracias to Alan for supplying it so promptly and to Pedro for fitting it. My Euro 5LX is no longer on death row.
11. How could I forget - George Harrison
12. I buy all my stuff from Soundslive if possible - brilliant service.
13. Steve Lukather Seasick Steve
14. - can't wait to blast this through my rig tomorrow but early signs/sounds are making my nipples stick out
15.
OMG!!! Niceguyhomer trusted his Spector to a Guaridian reader??? Nice job, looks sweet. Would love to hear it!
One up from a Beano reader methinks
16. I'd definitely come - especially now being a partial member of the ACG club. Plenty of room in my car for those of a Red Rose persuasion

18.
looking at the bassmerchant site it would be £1388 delivered, for the rig including footswitch (£799 for head including footswitch and £589 for the cab, this includes delivery) http://www.bassmerchant.com/manufacturers....37&offset=6 and darren has been known to do a deal for a Basschatter...
Wow - that's a good price Paul

22.
I'm SO looking forward to trying out your new pre-amp Al. I'm falling in love again with my Euro (I hadn't fallen out with it, just not used it for a while as I'm busier with my other band that i use my BB415 for) but I do find the range of sounds from the Spector somewhat limited.
We can sit down in a quiet (?) corner and try and work out how the f***ing thing works
