1. Definitely a used BB model Yamaha, there must be a fretless hanging around Si
2. The Hurley isn't a relic, to my knowledge it's a 50s/60s reissue with a custom designed bridge mute?! My advice, put the money into a cool old Fender and make it your own. For example, a new custom shop will cost you circa 3k, there's a very cool 1963 Precision on here for sale for not a great deal more! Si
3. It just looks like a crap Les Paul....and that's not a good starting point! Si
4. Have you tried either of them? Would probably answer your question Si
5. I think the Mike Watt one may look worse than the Orange O bass Not overly fussed about the Meshell one either. When I saw her playing her first Reverend in London, it had two pickups and a non-reverse headstock. Changing features to fit into their line a little better?! Odd Si
6. Looks like it was an amazing day (as usual), well done all! Gutted I couldn't be there, but family stuffed called.....fingers crossed for next year! Si
7.
Mooer Pure Octave is a great pedal at a great price. will do what you're after and more.
See I thought the Mooer sounds absolutely awful! That goes to show that you really just need to try as many as you can, and gig them too, a shop/bedroom does not let you know how it sounds on a gig Si
8. As well as all of the above, try emailing Fodera, they're mid-Brooklyn and usually happy to give a tour, although they prefer certain days (think I went on a tuesday). Lovely team and very cool workshop, you never know who you might bump into too Si
9. I have. '71 Precision, it's absolutely 'the one', I have D'Addario flats on it and it plays and sounds perfect. Si
10.
Anyone bought from here, http://www.amplifier...roducts_id=3883
That's Roqsolid My recent Super Compact cover order took 10-12 days for delivery (their standard advised time) Si
11. I really can't see myself ever selling my 1971 Precision! With the D'Addario Chromes on it, it just sounds and feels perfect If I manage to live another 50 years or so (dead at 83 is fair enough), it will be around 90 years old Si
12. A sold out show also doesn't mean all the ticket buyers turned up Gutted I missed it, learned about it on the Friday daytime . Next time! Si
13. I wouldn't go anywhere near an instrument that costs the same as a good set of strings! Si
14. Think I'm going to miss it this year now . I think it's only the 2nd I've missed in 10 years. Maybe I'll surprise you (and me!) and make it, but otherwise have a great time, and see you next year hopefully. Si
15. No problem, GLWTS Cheers Si
16. So nice!! If this was a few years ago........ Si
17.
^ Or you could just buy a cable or adapters that convert from whatever you have to whatever you need. No reason why you can't hook up fancy monitors direct to an on-board sound card with a stereo 3.5mm to two mono 6.25mm jack cable.
Well yes quite, a severe oversight on my behalf lol.
It's an audiophile 2496 audio card... old but ok. It has stereo rca outs so I'm all good on that front. Thanks
Cool cool, although bear in mind that RCA is unbalanced, and so, depending on some other variables, can be a little noisy compared to balanced outputs (TRS/XLR etc) Si
18. How are you connecting the monitors to the computer? Are you using an interface? I ask because if you're using an interface, you'll obviously connect through the 2xmono outputs from the interface. If you are just using a simple built-in sound card, then you'll likely need to buy speakers that connect via 3.5mm If you need something that connects to 3.5mm, then you're largely reduced to fancy PC speakers. If you're connecting from an interface, then for my money, a set of KRK Rokit 5s would be perfect. That said, probably about £100 over budget, unless you find some used. Si
19. Love it, Ben certainly gets an awesome sound from his. Gotta love a walnut body, adds so much to the sounds imo Si
20. Mega longshot, but interested in a part ex for the small Ditto? Si
21. It's likely that they saved all their ash for natural finishes, sunburst and colours would likely have all been Alder. Si
I'm starting to think both drive kits in one 1590xx enclosure... With a Deadpool coloured etch...
Less talk more action Si

Arrived yesterday (pretty quick!) Enclosure sent straight off for its design. Soldered the single SMD IC at work as have better gear there. Will try and find the time to do the rest soon Si
24. For me the wood is slightly difficult. It's either low grade ash, or high grade alder, as the figuring is kinda in between those. Someone with more wood knowledge will confirm. I'm edging toward Alder. They were thin poly finishes by then, not nitro, unless it's been refinished. Si
