1. Hi Guys, Just saw this in passing - not sure how effective we are here in doing this kind of thing but it might be worth checking this out if you own a TC Electronics amp http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2013/tc-electronic-Recalls-Bass-Guitar-Amplifier/ PS Haven't checked it out - so hopefully it's relevant.
2. Very helpful chap - quick and easy transaction. There was a problem with the power supply which he remedied within a couple of days - highly recommended.
3. Nice playing by jimmy - it's really good to see holdsworth playing with a drummer who doesn't drown him out I've been to two of his gigs where you couldn't hear him or the bass player because of the drumer who obviously thought everyone had come to see him.

5. I've been playing on and off for about 45 years and the TC Electronics is the first tuner I've ever been completely unable to tune an instrument with. Absolutely useless. I've no idea why it didn't work for me (on two different devices) but thought I'd throw my thoughts into the arena - no apparent way for a refund either.
6. Has anyone tried the ipone app - I couldn't tune a guitar at all using this. Anyone else had any problems.
7. Try a chevrolet suburban - I'd guess you can fit 4 4x10s and a couple of basses in the back and still seat 8 people - dropping the seats down to 5 (in comfort) I'd guess you could get 8 4x10's in. The newer ones are remarkably economical for really big petrol engines.
8. Sorry to go against the grain but I've got a nad 3020 somewhere kicking around and I think it's positively awful, I was never too impressed by cyrus either. I have a early 90's ion obelisk with Epos es14 speakers which I think was a magical combination - there aren't many amp/speaker combinations where you can actually hear the notes on a 5 string, rather than just a thump.
9.
Yeah, you big jessy, you Any risk with the back is a serious one. I'm built like proverbial sh*tehouse, played rugby for years and hit the gym regularly... And slipped a disc doing something totally f***ing innocuous, after not heeding the warning signs. Damage to the back is often permanent and certainly painful. If it's not comfortable, don't do if - and power to you
There was a prog on the telly the other day which said that most back damage was caused by bad posture and powerful back and stomach muscles rather than the actual weight you're lifting. Your own back muscles damage the back, and cause most slipped disks.
10. Great version of this song. It reminded me of my first gig in about 1974 at the age of about 14 with my 55year old dad (I wasn't allowed to go on my own or with friend), it was Beck, Bogart and Appice (sp?) and this was the first song. I'd not really known about this band and had kind of chosen them at random. It was a really bass heavy sound and when the bass cam in i felt as if I was in heaven - I'd heard nothing like it at the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xjmpBfk9uo
11. Thanks - I'm on the hunt - seems pretty good value at that price.
12. Hi, Can anyone identify this bass for me. http://www.youtube.com/user/kk955318#p/u/4/jWIFgS_4A1I I know it's not stunning but I quite like the sound of it and might be interested in getting one if the price is right. Thanks

14. My Mexican friend was most disconcerted to find when he visited Barcelona that they'd made Manuel into a Mexican. He greatly enjoyed telling his Spanish hosts about Manuel's true home!!.

15.
Hi Guys, Thinking of moving this excellent f/x unit on. This is the top of the range Lexicon MPX G2 as used by Steve Lawson, Michael Manring and Vai amongst others. Looking for quality studio gear or possibly a guitar. Might sell out right... Cheers, Lee
How much?
16.
Back up for trade, px or sale Still looking for the right smith BT6,
Have you asked Wal about fretting your existing neck - I think I might do the same with my 5 string fretless. I don't know how they would compare with the previous posters quote, but I'd personally be happier with Wal carrying out the work (no slur intended on quality of other posters offer - he's just an unknown quantity as far as I'm concerned).
