1. My pleasure Billy. Now, get your vid on the Performance forum . Cheers, Karl.
2.
hmmmm, this would be nice in the build im planning, or would i prefer a model p?
Listen to Sheehan ( something like the Burn solo), listen to a normal P then decide. The Will Power is a major reason why the Attitude is really loud and growly. After you've done all that, buy mine . Cheers, Karl.
3. Tough crowd bump
4.
Another Kasuga: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item256dcf332c
Thanks for the links Mr Foxen, desperately trying to get one of these. The natural has been pulled for a second time, the other one, for the first time. Sadly both appear to want stupid money (£500+) for a bolt on. I won't go that far (not too far short mind ) Karl.
5.
How about my Fenderwateroverbird? ........... and a very old cat!
6. Just handed my Classic Klystron to Billy, of Ravenface. 114,000 hits and counting for their new vid, Gig at Hammerfest and writing some bloody good metal. Anyway, lovely guy to deal with, easy transaction, recommended. Enjoy the amp and Hammerfest Billy and dont forget me when you are famous. Good luck bud, you know where I am. Karl.
7.
Blimey, a Rickenfrankenfendermanjazz thing!
You took the words right out of my mouth
8.
Cheers Karl, I do like it, though it was done on a budget, just to try the concept out - £130 for the Epi Thunderbird (less what I got for the neck when I sold it), a MM neck I had sort of lying around, plus a bit of machining for the pocket. Result. I liked it so much, however, I've spent a bit more on it: Hipshot Supertone bridge, Hipshot superlites (inc.Xtender), rewire (inc.pull-serial pot) and SD pickups. It'll be finished by the end of the week - I'll post more pics then. I've also got a really nice Lakland birdseye maple neck awaiting another Thunderbird body, so I can start all over again...
Soooooo, you'll need to find funding for the LakBird, so bagsy first dibs on the one in your photo. Cheers, Karl.
9.
Hmmm, not sold on that one, to be honest, but on the Fenderbird front, I'm a fan - if he can make a good one like this, I'd be in....
Hmmm, Oldham you say, now, where's that electoral roll . Seriously though Muzz, that one you've got . Karl.
10. Also available in white. Most decent amps can make most basses sound good. I have e mailed the chap in question to see if he can make his next project a FenderBird with the same neck, or even better, a tribute to the Ox, with the same neck (photo nicked from FlatEric's website, sorry, forgot to ask permission) Have a look at this little beauty http://cgi.ebay.co.u...E:X:AAQ:GB:1123
11. So Mr Eric, did you ever list the Ibby Destroyer!!!! ? Missed out on the wondrous Aria faker as in between funds at the time. Keeping an eye out for one, but would hang on to my loot if that Ibby may yet be coming up . I hate your website because of that STUNNING natural Fender/Explorer/Ox/Cook thing!!!!!! (hope you won't mind too much, I've nicked a photo of the Ox and THAT bass for a FEEBay link?) Cheers Karl
12. Is there a cover with this?...............bump.
13.
As anyone here can tekll you, finding a good set of bass strings can well be an expensive buisiness. Status strings are not expensive though, so you m,ight as well start there. try the link here: Status strings Follow the links on the left to Online shop/Bass Strings/ Maybe £18 for the average set of flats or round wounds for a four string bass. Make sure you order the correct length though.
Absolutely, great strings, great prices, fantastic service.
14. Once upon a time, a few years back, a bloke had a good job. sh*t (agressive takeover happens) and the good job went. I had the pleasure of owning and playing all of these. Now, sober, mature, gigging as much as ever with 4 basses and thinking of going to 3. I only use my Yam live. Scary nostalgia moment.
15.
What kind of idiot buys a bass that looks as sh*t as these? I like the Roadworn relics but there is a limit ya know. Words from his advert: So if you want a cool vintage bass that looks and sounds fantastic but have not got thousands to spare this could be for you. It should read: If you are a muppet with no taste, who doesn`t realise that I am rippin you off if you buy this piece of crap then this could be for you! Look at my feeback! Jez
Perhaps he was an estate agent before he became a luthier
16.
I would call and get this tonight... only prob is I live in freaking belfast! :/
Google Paisley freight, they will have it to you in a couple of days for about £25 insured. It will be worth it! Good luck, Karl.
17. Er, he's not visited the site since September fellas, you may get lucky if you PM him. At least he will see that!
18. This is the size of the head Welcome Billy, guess you got my email. Cheers, Karl.
19. Cheers MB1 . Couple more photo's showing how the feet mean it can go portrait or lanscape. Amp NOT included in price
20. Congratulations, well done that man. If you ain't in you don't win! Enjoy, always good to hear of somebody's good fortune. Karl.
21. A local music shop was always a way for me. Perhaps that doesn't work nowadays, I'm a coffin dodger after all. If you are in the North West, go to Northwest bands website, there's often a couple of gigging bands looking for bassists. Last time I looked there was a very well known, very busy Metallica tribute band looking for a permanent bassist. Eeeee, if a wer 20 yers younger lad, r'd uv ad a shot mesen. Back to Bush and Gabriel!!!!!
22. Top bloke, top bit of kit. Wish I had a rack . Fnarr, fnarr.
23. Back up for sale, although I will still happily trade for a quality 600watt, 4 ohm 2x12 or 4 x 10. Anybody interested, PLEASE, read the dimensions in the first post. It will fit fine on most "traditional" size cabs. Free delivery within 50 miles of Wigan
24. Absolutely cracking basses these, just a really nice feel to them. Think tortie plate may be an upgrade? Good luck, somebody will be very happy. Karl.
25.
i do want one of these in my life... well done sir, I hope it brings you much joy!
It will
