I'm looking at getting the Yamaha MG206C, recorded using one a couple of weeks ago and was hugely impressed!

laugh away, you know music man have made some right dogs

I've been singing the praises of OLP for a long time now, and stand by it! Weak is the last word i'd use to describe the sound of mine, i've had a better music man tone out of it that some of the real deals! Think you got a mighty lemon..
I don't know what your playing situation is but you could use the Eden on loud and quiet gigs but you couldn't use the Tecamp on loud gigs. How much cash do you need? Would £500 cover it?
Selling the Tecamp will get me a suitable desk and an ipod. I'd have a combo for smaller stuff and the 2x15 to add on the bigger ones. But the hyper portability of the Tecamp would be greatly missed. Selling the Eden would get the desk and ipod and leave £250 to buy a head for the 2x15. Or i could sell both, getting me a better quality desk, an micro amp for the 2x15 and giving me an excuse to make a cabinet for a spare schroeder neo driver i have. Thus giving me essentially what i have now, a one hand carry rig and a big rig, but with a nice desk too
I would keep both and save up for the other stuff, plus an extension 2x10 cab for the Eden! Not much help I know!!
This is what i'd normally do, but i'm about to start renting a more expensive place, nearly all my money is now going in the fuel tank and the need for a desk is to much to wait for. -

Yes, i am quite partial to that scruff look two, but had come to the descision that it would be a fun restoration project. Was actually thinking white/cream vinyl, in part because of your Jacks! Tests were not in the best circumstances, badly shaped room and lots of loose things to rattle and buzz. Put some very bass heavy electronic music through them, hooked up to a 300w a side poweramp (they're rated at 200), even with the amp on full they showed no signs of struggle! very impressed!! They moved a LOT of air, and even in circumstances the ultra low frequencies were not too mushed, and you could feel everything from the sub to mids very nicely Also hooked them up to my Eden for a little play and that was a lot of fun! Definitely more for the reggae bass sound than King-esque slap Only mark on them is DKQ sprayed on the front grill cloth, a google search reveals nothing so assumed it's a band logo or something? Had the back off for a quick peek but the only thing written on the speakers was 30hz written in permenant marker, they had mighty impressive magnets on them. may well get some snaps and see if anyone can identify them. I was up in cardiff a lot with my old funk band, but members are spread out round the country atm. should be doing barfly soon with a new metal band but haven't got a date set, if you dig that sort of thing i can let you know, but it's not everyones cup of tea i know

It's been a really fun year for equipment for me so far and at the moment i find myself with 2 combos in my setup. Unfortunatly i find myself without a mixing desk and an ipod and no more disposable income (as i said, it's been a fun year!) soooo....... Eden Metro 2x10 combo: Got this on sunday.. Massively impressed with the Eden sound and a scarily loud combo! part of my 'big rig' which is why i'd rather keep this one... Tecamp 112: Had this a while now and absolutely love it! Volume against weight is just astonishing, which is why i'd rather keep this one... I can't decide which i'd rather keep, so i'll let you guys do it! Eden £750, Tecamp £500. (Negotiable) For trades i would be looking at; Mixing desk with USB, Ipods at least 80gb and Eden, Tecamp or Orange Terror heads (head trades against the Eden combo only) *Eden photo taken from grimbeaver's original for sale thread http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=83097&hl=eden

I got these! picked them up on the weekend and had a little play with them. very, very good! well built and monsterous speakers in them. just need a bit of re-furb work to make them look as good as they sound!
-
i didn't convert. the smiley face has never appealed to me... it's all about the burp!
-
cheers for the heads up. once i've got a new band off the ground i'll be getting right on that!
-
looks like i have! are they all down the bay??

managed to get our first gig in the point a couple of months before it was closed. amazing venue and the only good thing down that end of cardiff. now no-one bothers going there who actually lives in cardiff. shame

At one point i owned 6 basses. i now own 3. One is my old Yamaha RBX765A, my first gigging bass, my first 5 string, my first big purchase as a child. Did every gig for 5 years. Doesn't play anymore, but it's hardly going anywhere is it?! One is a homemade acoustic fretless. bassically a length of wood glued to a small acoustic guitar body. home noodling fun! And then THE ONE. My custom Shuker. Had it just over 6 years now, don't need anything else and at the moment i don't have enough money for things i don't need, so it's the only one. However i like basses, it's a hobby, so i'd never restrict myself to one just because thats all thats necessary.
-
thats all fine, but why do you feel that overwater should be the one to complete your vision?
-
played through one at a gig once. was very, very impressed.
-
"his mike, his amp, his rack" "well that doesn't sound very good" though there was a bassist standing there when i turned over. sure he was the one to get it? or did the band have 2 bassists?
-
-
if you can do a 5 string fretless in any guise for under £600 you'll be onto a winner (at least in my books!)
-
very nice indeed!
-
SWR 750X, just got one and it's the nutts! chunky, defined bottom end etc etc. nice overdrive section. deffinitly put it on your try list!
-
the same was said for the MM SUB range. not sure what i'm trying to say with that either...
