1. Here's more pics of the Dolphin I bought last Saturday, I'll try and get some more outside in natural light when its stops raining!. 2. I don't know if this has been mentioned but saw no pics on the whiz though the thread so here's one. My new Warwick Dolphin SN

4. I seem to have gone full circle as regards strings. I started with stainless steel 18 years ago then thought I had found the holy grail with nickle's (that played in sound IMO). then Roto jazz flats and on to tru bass (which I still use one one of my basses). Not long ago I bought a 5 string and the only cheap 5 string set I could get in a hurry were some Elite steels. They sounded great but I didn't really put it down to the strings I thought it was the bass. Until I put some Nickle's on and the bass sounded a bit naff, a bit ringy. Now I've bought a Warwick which their website says is fitted with Black labels (steels), I'll be using steels on the Dolphin rather than anything else.
5. Yea, well it'll go when it goes I suppose. I've seen new ones in the local shops on sale at over a grand and some online for £950 (GAK(thats if they have any in stock + £100 for the vintage burst). I've had offers on ebay at just over £600 but it's still early days, theres nothing worse than selling stuff cheap only for someone to offer a better price a few weeks later.
6.
Ahh did you buy that off ebay by any chance? I messaged the seller about that when it was up and asked if he had the original neck... apparently he used it in a project or something. why he couldn't have just bought a jazz knockoff neck i don't know. I wouldn't touch it with a stagg neck though (no offence). Would be a really nice bass with the original (or similar) jazz neck though. I'm gonna buy a new one (squier VMJ that is) in about september time.
Ha, thats the one. I bought it as a cheap bass for those dodgy venues where basses sometimes get damaged or nicked. But the body is so nice I thought I would see if I got any offers on it, if not I was going to get a better neck and keep it. In the ebay listing it said professionally fitted neck, but I've never seen gaps in a neck join thay you could fit a 2 pence piece into. Like I've said to someone else going by his feedback he seems to have a habit of taking different basses apart and putting them together with the lights off and selling them.
7. The bass looks like this at the mo, It's a stag neck and I've reshaped the headstock as I didn't like the look of it nor the metal badge. I also had to plug the original holes in the neck and re-drill them as the last bloke just used the original holes and the neck didn't sit right. And yes they are Roto Tru-bass strings (nice to)
8.
Theses ones are: http://www.squierguitars.com/products/sear...rtno=0326702521
That's the one, only some idiot took the original neck off and stuck one on from a different bass (long story)
9. Open to offers will sell as just the body or fully loaded, I have the original P style knobs which I replaced with Jazz one's. This body has no dings, I will get some more close up pics later on. Might even sell as complete bass although please note it doesn't have original neck.
10. Bump of the day
11. I had a few ideas for scratch plates, I thought tourt or mirror or even clear to show off the vintage burst at bit more.
12. They also had a Buzzard JE in what looked like a charcoal grey gloss with numbered inlays (not roman numerals) and the 2x split P style pickup's for £1499 but the old CC wouldn't stretch that far . But still chuffed to bits with the Dolphin, love the neck, sort of jazz width but deeper. I can't get over the tone's I can get from it. I will get some more/better pic's on when the battery has changed in my camera. I'll also have to change my avitar
13. Ok it's one of these A Dolphin SN

16. Cheers WH the Warwick ones will stay on then.
17. I don't normaly buy on impulse but yesterday I called in at Reverb Stockton and the bass that I couldn't afford last year (£1299) was now half(ish) price in the clearence sale. I was going to wait until I sold the 'Ray but the wife said it would probably be gone by then. I will post picks later.
18. I have now bought the bass that I was Gassing for so the Stingray will be going on Ebay sometime today.
19. I have bought a Warwick and wondered how trustworthy the strap locks are that come with the bass? Or should I change them for some Schallers? Just that I am new to Warwicks so any advice welcomed. Cheers
20. I am watching this on ebay as we speak, couldnt believe it when I saw it on here. I have my eye on something else at the mo (and the fact I have a bass to flog before I but another). Anyway I hope you get what it's worth, its a fine looking bass.
21. I didn't think I would be putting this up for sale but I've seen something I must have, so here goes. My Music Man Stingray 2eq in vintage sunburst, black scratchplate with maple neck. Strung with Rotosound Jazz faltwound. A couple of dings (see photos) but nothing too bad. Comes with Music Man hard case and polishing cloth (wow). £750 I have managed to delete all the photo's off the bass and cannot get them back on so here's a link to the ebay listing.
