  1. Well the pedalboard is still being configured, but here's the anti-gas bass 😁
  2. @kwmlondon said he was actually pretty good live tho!
  3. It's always the keys. How about some actual trend setting? Drum skins on basses to provide ourselves a snare backbeat? Or a fretboard somewhere on a drum?
  4. Alright. I got my new bass. I got my new pedals I wanted, a board with case, the power supply needed. I got all the cables and stuff. I even got spare strings and nuts. STARTING NOW, how long can I go on being completely dry? Ideally I'd want to avoid buying anything else at least in 2025. Jusging by this thread, it's much harder than it looks! 😁
  5. This is what got me thinking. He's obviously not bad at all. To me, he's way above the level where even if he doesn't have any musical imagination, he could still string together a lot of technics and building blocks from all the stuff he obviously practiced to death. He could have changed up rythm and stuff just enough that a Laney can't have anything against him. But he choose not to, and thought if someone only got 200 views, none of that 200 people obviously interested in guitar stuff will ever stumble upon his socials campaigns... 😁 this is a very weird level of lazy stupid.
  6. Maybe some millennial and boomer managers are having a sitdown with those kids right about now... who don't know too much about real music, but still run the socials for these otherwise respectable companies. ... I sound so old. But seems like they're the real target for the instafluencer musician.
  7. I see some "smaller" youtubers taking up the topic, wondering when and where is this going to end
  8. Yep, it might work without any issues! Or maybe all old versions of compatible Windows OS will be deprecated by then by some AI-enforcing situation, like they're trying to do now with Win10 VS Win11. Just saying, it's hard to monetise something that works for years to come, and monetisation is king, so... But I am all talk, I just got my C4 Synth 😁
  9. I think the real point is, will it work in 2035+ ? Or for example, will some cannibalistic private equity buy up Neural DSP, "cut the trim" by stripping the company of most assets, then toss it to the dump? A very likely scenario in today's tech scene, and if you're a C-level director at one of these companies, you're usually likely to take the golden parachute and retire VS protecting your company and brand.
  10. Yeah the daisy is just taking up space in my case, I got an isolated supply. Also selling the 5 port isolated power supply soon 🙂
  11. I am SURE there will be a better turnout for when they find a new time after this "postponement", after basically scamming the initial audience who would have been the target... yeah right. We'll just rush to buy those new tickets!
  12. I also know TC from the Kruder & Dorfmeister days that hit me in the early 2000s... definitely look that up!
  13. Alright, alright, I really can't argue with all the excellent points you're making! You convinced me. Sending a PM 😁
  14. Thanks guys, now I'm itching to know mine's weight... but we have a guest staying over and the bass is tucked away in it's bag in the upstairs closet... to be continued!
  15. I think in the UK (and likely many other countries) your own song is covered by copyright as soon as you write and publish it. Publishing = posting to youtube in this case. I already got my teeny tiny 🎻 out and ready to play it 😁
  16. Yep, I am trying to do my part and avoid ordering anything from Amazon and "friends", even if that would mean saving 10-20 quids... takes only a few minutes to browse alternative options.
  17. Thanks, - tested from other side, alloy is properly formed, but still gave it a touch up - yep! - that's a wire for the MID pot, looks sus indeed but it definitely works!
  18. Well, they choose to, we just have to... 😁 It's not like they pay any tax..
  19. Yes, all grounds are correct, triplechecked! Dist legs are indeed connected "externally", one less wire by jumpering them. And this is my first non-boardmounted one, it's for a friend and I planned to put it into a bigger-than-1590n enclosure. I regret it every sindle day! LO AND BEHOLD, after flux cleanup it now works! I need to be less messy.
  20. I see a lot of flux residue on the photos that is barely visible with my naked eyes. I guess I should really clean that up first with some IPA... that residue can be shorting all sorts of stuff right?
  21. The photos won't do too much good, had to remove it from the wired up enclosure and bleh... it's uglier from close up than I remembered. But all ins and outs should be correct, I have done a connectivity test on every node again. All grounds "see" other grounds as well. However I finally found a measurable difference. The transistor is sending 0.6v to ground on BB but 1.1v on the PCB. As a result, 3.8v is going towards the OUT on BB but only 1.6v on PCB. Also, the signal is not consistent on the PCB, values keep jumping around randomly (which aligns with the poppy noise) while it's very stable on the PCB, no fluctuation. Not sure what the V difference is due to and if that's the problem or a symptom. Also don't get why am I getting noise even when directly probing the JACK IN...
  22. The noises seem to be coming from somewhere else, there's a constant crackling and buzzing on that PCB. I guess something is shorted/grounded or a joint is busted, but if the circuit is not bypassed, my probe is terribly noisy even when measuring on the very input jack itself! It all sounds fine on both jacks of course if I bypass the circuit. Since it's all wired up, I guess now it's time to desolder all the pot wires and try to reflow the joints. But since I already checked for shorts before wiring it up and all seemed good, I don't think I'll be able to fix this, seems more and more far every day.
  23. I got it from a fellow Basschatter very recently! I was just about to turn off the extended EQ, I'm like what do I need the high 8k for, just makes the menu more confusing. You're saying I shouldn't do that? 😁
  24. Alright I have probed again and there is no audio coming from pin 7 on the breadboard. 🤯 Must have made a mistake in my notes the last time. Audio is only coming from the pin 6 output as expected. I'll review the PCB again and compare the 2.
