1. A fiver from London Town. Could you send me payment detail please. R.
2. I have bought a Musicman case and a Boss tuner from Nick recently and he's a pleasure to deal with, both case and pedal are in excellent condition. Many Thanks.
3.
Are the knobs flat or dome topped?
Hi, there dome topped. Cheers R.
4. I have almost given up building bitsa jazz basses, well I have restricted it to just one! so I have a few odds and sods to sell on. 1. One Jazz Bass pick-up from an 80's Tokai Jazz Sound Bass, excellent condition - £7.50 posted. 2. One Precision Bass pick-up - I thought this was a SD Quarter Pounder but have since been given info (thanks Mr.Foxen) that proves it's not a QP, excellent as new condition - £10.00 posted. 3. 3x good quality chrome knobs - £7.50 posted. 4. One tarinshed Fender style brass neck plate with 4 screws, this probably dates from the 70's as it was on a Jazz I bought in the mid 80's that was pretty old when I purchased it - send me a suitably stamped addressed envelope and it's yours. The above all include Royal Mail 1st class postage. Cheers R.
5.
Happ to do so once I've paid Rusty for the Jazz, it would be a little rude to sell it before I've paid for it Chris
Quite right to! my appologies Rusty. I'm in no mad rush for it, just keep me in mind if you decide to move the neck on. Regards R.
6. How about sharing the neck about Beedster? if you don't need it I could be tempted to take it off your hands. R.
7. Hi, yes a standard Fender neck will fit this body, I had an early 70's Fender Jazz bass neck on it for many years, recently it's had a Fender style fretless neck on it. both necks fitted nicely. These basses were so acurate to the real thing I believe Tokai got sued for it! I'm no wood expert but I'd say it was either alder or maple. R. PS I have found the neck plate and screws if they are needed.
8. I recently bought and imported this body from the US just so I could get the Japanese red tort scratchplate off of it it's a fine looking body but I have decided to give up making bitsa basses so it has to go. I was told it's from a 1994 model. it's in great condition apart from a nasty ding on the top edge. you can clearly see this in the second picture. I have put on the white scratchplate from my other CIJ body. £225 delivered Parcelforce. let me know if you want any more info or pics. Cheers R. body is a little bit warmer looking then it apears in the pictures
9. I bought this as a whole bass secondhand back in the late 80's and over the years swopped and changed necks and pick ups. It's a quality Japanese body idea for projects. I've decided I have made my last bitsa bass so I'm slowly selling of all the parts I have collected over the years to fund buying a 5 string fretless. If you have any questions or need any more pics let me know. £150 delivered by Parcelforce. Cheers R. body looks a little bit darker and warmer then it appears in this picture.
10. MIM Fender tortoise shell scratch plate, it's brand new and still has the protective film on it and the original packaging, I bought this to go on a CIJ body and it didn't fit (the holes are in a different place) so it's up for sale. £16 posted. Badass 2 bridge with screws, I have had this for donkeys years and it has served me very well but is now surplus to requirements, it does have a few scrathes where the blocks slide up and down. £30 posted - SOLD Cheers R.
11. I have had these in a bitsa Jazz bass for a few years now but I have decided to only have one Jazz at a time so I'm getting rid of lots of stuff. there is a little bit of string wear on the casings that can be seen in the pics. Now £60 posted including the screws, plate, pots, socket and knobs (or I have 3 new pots, a socket and cloth covered wire if you prefer) Cheers R.
12. I played through one for a while back in the 80's and it sounded bloody excellent when played at just the right volume. R.
13. Thanks to everyone who showed some interest in this. it's now on ebay bargain hunters! item No 120228700655 R.
14.
Do you have more detailed/better pictures? Body/neck/headstock stuff? Cheers
Hope these will do, if you need any more let me know and I'll take them over the weekend. regards R.
