1. Shame it doesn't have frets as I would quite like an Overwater 5. Have a bump on me! R.
2. I use an Edirol UA-25 and get an excellent recorded bass sound. Audacity is good audio recording program and it's free - http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ R.
3. Hi BasBus, Interesting question, I have thought about it on and off today and the only answer I can come up with is quite a shallow one! I don't particularly like the look of headless basses, it's nothing to do with the tone and your plus points are all very valid. I really hope I didn't offend anyone with my earlier throw away comment. R.
4. Hi Kiwi, can I ask what you didn't like about the pick-ups? I'm not keen on headless basses. An Overwater will have to wait until the new year unless a secondhand one comes up for sale. R.
5. Thanks for that JD1, I'm get the impression from this thread that they don't have their own distinctive sound but play really well and in my option look stunning. R.
6. Good call Chris, I have e-mailed them to see if they have any in stock in the Brighton shop if not I may have to travel to The Bass Merchant.
7. I've seen this bass and quiet recently, it's a real looker. R.
8. Cheers Chaps, it's all very helpful info. I might take a trip to the Gallery or maybe to GAK in Brighton who have a couple of Perceptions on their web site so I guess they have them in the shop. I wouldn't want a neck wider then a Stingray 5. The Perception at The Gallery has dot markers and a different bridge to the new ones. Regards R.
9. Hi Rich, No need to apolgise as I'm interested to hear all points of view and I'll have to try one out myself before making a final decision. I kinda like the idea of smaller bodied basses I play a MM Sterling instead of a Stingray for the smaller body and Jazz Bass like profile of the neck. R.
10. Hello, I'm GASing for a another bass and really like the look of Overwater basses especially the Perception 5 string and wondered if anyone had one they would like to share their thoughts on, I'd also love to hear some sound clips to. Cheers R.
11. Thank goodness this beauty is not a 5 string or I would be a lot poorer!
12. A joy to deal with and the amp is like new. Many Thanks. R.
13. Great to meet you Steve, a joy to deal with. I hope you enjoy the amp. Cheers R. PS what is the name of that CD you were playing in the car?
14. Lovely looking bass. loundndclear now I know what you wanted the cash from your LM11 for! R.

16. Sold to Flanker pending payment. Many Thanks
17. Hi Chris Thanks for the enquiry, I'm really not happy with sending this amp and I will hold out for a sale where I can meet up with the buyer or they collect it. If your friend was very keen on the amp I could always meet him at St Pancras where the Eurostar teminates with it Regards R.
18. Cheers mate, I like Ashdown's and Marmite - not together though as it makes an awful mess! R.
19. Indian Summer Price Drop. NOW £300
20. Hi, I have a Sterling single H with a maple neck and light gauge strings on it, it's lightweight and easy to play with the lowest action I have had on any bass, it has quite a bright punchy sound. On the other hand my SR5 has a rosewood neck and what I think are the original medium gauge strings, it sound deep, dark and lovely. Not sure if that's any help any. R.
21. A sunny Saturday afternoon bump.
22. I bought this from someone (his name escapes me) on Basschat last year and have used it to rehearse with about 6 times but as the band I was in has now split and I'm back to being a spare room bassist this just isn't getting used. It's in as new condition. £300.00 Pick up only from South London due to it's weight and fragile valves. Note: I will be in the West Midlands From 30th October to the 2nd November and could take the head with me if traveling to London was putting anyone off. I would consider trading this for a Mark Bass head or a decent lined fretless 5 string such as a Lakland 55 or MM Stingray (+cash from me obviously) Cheers R.
