1. Lower Price. Last bump then it's Ebay or the loft for this bass. Cheers R.
 2.
that is amazing! Wal basses like this make me want to stop faffing about with MM/G&L etc and get rid of GAS forever
Ah but surely we all need a little GAS in our lives? Stunning bass. R.
 3.
How about Audacity? It's free too. Peter
I use Audacity to, pretty good for a free bit of software and runs on a PC, Mac or Linux. worth a try before shelling out on something expensive like Cubase. R.
 4. I have no idea how the OLP's play but that's a nice looking bass so have a bump from me. R.

 11.
how hard is it to defret a bass?
Not too hard but you have to be careful because the barbed bit's that hold the frets in place can rip the wood of the fingerboard, oh and you may need a new nut or file the old one a little. as umph says take your time. R.
 12.
I needed one for mine and used brass from a hobby shop - looks and works fine.
That's good to hear, BB is kindly sending me some brass so I should be hum free in the near future. Thanks chaps. R.
 13.
I've seen them on very old J basses - remember there was a huge cover over the bridge/pup (plus mutes) so it wasn't visible. I guess it was easier than drilling an awkward hole and Leo was always trying to speed things up in the factory.... BB
Good point, I hadn't thought about the old bridge covers.
 14.
I say.... Thats a bit Heath Robinson isnt it? Would've thought they'd got that bit right!
Tis a bit odd, I read somewhere they did it like that on the original 62 Jazz so the Japanese did the same on the RI but I have never seen a genuine vintage Jazz with that little brass strip! no USA or MIM pickguards fit the holes in the body either which is a tad annoying to.
 15.
Its just a strip of thin brass - you can get it from "hobby" shops, I think. I've got a big sheet here PM me if you want some? BB
Thanks for the offer BB. PM on it's way. R.

 17. What a nightmare, fingers crossed your gear turns up undamaged. R.
 18. Very interestng, do you know when it's due to hit the shops? I like your idea of a 3+2 headstock, as it needs something to make it stand out from the 4 string version. R.
 19. Hello, I'm putting together another Jazz bass but this time using a Japanese 62 RI body, the earth from the pots doesn't run through the body to the bridge like most Jazzes, it goes to the rear pick-up cavity where it should then attach to a (copper?) strip which then runs to the bridge externally. see the attached pic if my discription doesn't make sense. Where can I get one of these little strips or something similar? Any help would be appreciated. R.
 20. I bought a bog standard Korean Squire P off of Ebay about a year ago for about £100, yours has the EMG's and a new gig bag so you should get more for it. Hope that's some help. Regards R.
