1. I now have no four string basses so these are not a lot of use to me. Send me a stamped addressed Jiffy bag and they are yours. R.
 2. Met up with Cham yesterday to do a deal on a MIJ Jazz neck, nice guy and a joy to deal with. R.
 3.
I might be interested in the tuners if you'd consider bringing them off the neck? If that's a possiblity, what size are they?
Thanks for the enquiry, sorry but the tuners will go with the neck.
 4. No offence taken, it doesn't look so bad in the flesh and you don't really notice it too much when playing but none the less it's ugly and if you are in no rush it's worth hanging on for a mint one.
 5.
The body looks great! Do you know how much it weighs?
It's a lovely colour I wish my JO5 was this colour. Sorry I have no idea what the body weighs. R.
 6. As I say the ding makes it hard to put a price on this hence me thinking Ebay is the best way forward.
 7.
What are you planning for the neck?
The necks is a tricky one and the reason I haven't listed it is I don't really know what it's worth, It's a Japanese one I imported with a satin rather then hi gloss finish to it, when it arrived it had a ding in the back of an otherwise excellent neck. I was thinking it might be better to Ebay this but if you want to see pics let me know. Cheers R.

 9. I'm thinking of breaking up my bitsa Jazz bass. The body is from 1987 and has gone a very lovely creamy yellow colour, it has dings and scratches and some slight mottling on the back, none of this isn't a bad thing as it looks great. comes with the pickguard, control plate and knobs £175 sent by Hermes ***SOLD*** Delano JMVC4FE M2 pickups like new with original box, screws and foam £120 posted a bit less if you want to collect or meet in central London or Luton. ***SOLD*** Gotoh 201 bridge, like new £22 posted. ***SOLD*** Cheers R.
 10. I bought a new office chair today and the old one will be trashed, it's generally in good condition but does have one small faint mark on the fabric and a bit of scuffing on one arm where it bashed into a cupboard sometimes. it cost about £80 new from Staples a few years ago. Free to any Basschatter that wants to collect it. R.
 11.
Use a stereo lead from a computer to the input on your amp, then pull out the Bass side. Play any track you like from Spotify or somewhere, and play the bass over it. Simples
Maybe I'm missing something skywalker but isn't that the same as adjusting the pan control on the computer either hard left or hard right? in the case of the Ralph Patt files you would get either bass with drums no piano or just piano. Cheers R.
 12.
Great track - here's my attempt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMxDFwviCss
I think you have been blocked by the copyright police I was looking forward to viewing your playing.
 13.
It arrived this morning from Bassline.
I'll have to order a copy, such cool basslines. Have Fun. R.
 14. No they don't take the money until it's in stock, to be honest I had forgotten all about it until i spotted this thread. if yours turns up then maybe I'll cancel my Amazon order and go direct to Bassline. R.
 15. I found this site tonight, sadly you can only pan the piano or the bass with the drums out not just the bass but if you need a cheesy backing track to practice your jazz soloing to it may be useful. it has the bassic chord changes to loads of standards as well. 16. I ordered it about 18 months ago from Amazon and still no sign of it
restring a 4-stringer with the lowest four strings of a 5-string set and tune it BEAD (trussrod will need some tweaking if you're using standard strings, because of the lower overall tension on the neck). Anyway, HTH, Ian
BEAD from a 5 string set on a 4 string seems like a good solution to me. R.
 18. Met Wes today and briefly played one of his basses if it's anything to go by the Jazz will be excellent when it's done. R.

 20. Generally it's a lovely looking bass and I would be interested in seeing pics of the 5 string, I really don't like the buttons or the huge price tag. R.
