4. So would this be superior to the VT and SFT or just different?
5. Brilliant, I had the exact same thought, I was keen to get my 2year old son to decorate it. Interested to see how you get on.
6. I bought one a couple of weeks back, needed something quieter for home as I am now practising in the room directly underneath my two year olds bedroom. It is a great little amp, doubles up very well as a speaker for mp3 players. The aux in with volume control is really useful and there are effects on board
7.
well you can check most things so it's up to you to work out. I'm more interested as to how a saddle screw can fall out, ive not heard of that - unless it's been shipped without strings? Also depends what value the bass and case is - if it's a £100 bass with a £10 case- maybe not worth it, if it's a Fodera with a top of the range padded case....
Its the Nate Mendel Sig, so the gig bag is not exactly top of the range. There are strings on it, the screw can be put back part of the way by hand so nothing obviously mechanically wrong.
8.
I would wonder how a saddle screw had fallen out
Me too, and the damage to the gig bag makes me wonder if something has happened to the bass either in the shop or in transit that might present further problems down the line. I don't know what and I may be worrying about nothing, but just think I would prefer either swap for a new one or get a refund and try to make a purchase in person somewhere.
9. The gig bag that came with it had a hole in the seam and one of the saddle screws had fallen out?
10. At £349, has Gear4Music's Redsub 5110 gone up in price, I could have sworn it was £299 last year, or was that £399? What price have others bought these at?
11. The ortega d walker bass looks promising, proper strings too. http://ortegaguitars.com/en/products/acoustic-basses/acoustic-bass/show/Product/d-walker-wh/d-walker-wh/ Posted on mobile, cannot do proper links, will edit later.
12. I have bought and sold a few on here all were somewhere between £100 - £150.
13. Hello, The head is not UK made, the LB212 is UK made. Sold Cheers
14. Whats the Mendel bass like?
15. What about a Yamaha THR10? One of the members bought one a while back and was really pleased with it, here.
16. Just found Yamaha's THR Session app for Apple, its written for the THR range of amps, but should work without, looks pretty good for a freebie: App page on Yamaha site
17.
I feel strangely drawn to this. Two silly questions. Well 3, really. What is the width of the neck at the nut? Weight? And are you up for any trades at all, cash either way depending on trade?
Width at nut is 42mm I dont know the weight of my particular bass, couldnt get it to register on the bathroom scales, and the Hofner website doesnt give a weight. I am not looking for any trades at the moment, just clearing the decks.
