Hey guys, I built this about 3 weeks ago, but since acquiring some new pedals, I just built another one this morning. It's big enough for one wah/expression/volume pedal and 6 standard size pedals plus a slim power brick. It's made from one piece of sturdy woodchip board with a wood effect laminate on top to male it look cool, it has a riser at the back so you don't stamp on the front pedals while accessing the back ones. Theres Velcro on it already, you can just peel it off. And it has padded feet so it doesn't scratch your floor! I'm happy to sell or trade, it will probably cost at least a fiver to send, so it's yours for £18 including postage or £13 if you pick it up. Its Very sturdy beast and I can email/text photos if you want! Russ.

Hey guys, I have a Fender mini twin amp, with fresh battery, that I don't use. It's a cool little beast, fun for messing around with. I don't really want cash, I'd rather trade it for a pedal of some variety, not fussed what really, something interesting.... What you got? It's in brand new condition, cost £40 odd new about 5 months ago. I'm writing this on my phone so I can put a picture in, but if you google 'fender mini twin' you'll see it! It's in green tweed. Let me know! Russ.

Hey, A friend bought an 80's hohner acoustic and it turned out to be a right off. It looks spot on but the neck has been damaged and is completely unplayable... So we want to turn it into a novelty amp I need a half decent 4 inch speaker and the other various parts to knock up a mini amp that I can mount on the inside of the guitar. Ideas? Advice? Parts? Help appreciated Russ

I regret starting this.... lol well, Mr Pierre, you may be right in saying that they appear every month or so, but it be people like you that reply to them plus.... that lego bass is awesome! I want! Many opinions are floated in topics like these, so I think that almost validates their existence. Just to be a big hairy hypocrite, If I had money pouring out of my ears, I'd probably have a fodera made for me... a buckeye burl emperor 7 string would be nice.
-
So... Maybe the key is to find a cheap but good luthier to make you an exact copy of a fodera for a third of the price and name it a fauxdera It'll be like those Chinese cars that look exactly like an Audi or BMW but cost about £10,000 instead of £30,000. So, who wants one of my fauxderas? It'll be mostly made of Lego though...

I suppose all this really sums up to the whole 'designer brand' theory's. Though unlike some brands, at least fodera carries a worthwhile reputation. And as much as I do think I'd rather spend $14,500 on several others things, i suppose with supply and demand etc then foderas are a bass marketed with a boutique 'not everyone can own us' attitude. Much like the 'Wayne rover' Still, a buckeye Burl emporer 6 would be a nicer think to own than a blinged up excuse for a 4x4

I agree with the sentiment that what wr think doesn't matter, that's pretty much they way most things in life go. And as for ricks, fenders, gibsons etc they're pricetags are somewhat more realistic. And as much as 'if you had the custom, charge what you want' may apply here I still find it difficult to understand why a Wooten yin yang deluxe is worth $14,500. But yes, each to their own, and foderas do hold their value, but I can't help but think that as much as they are great basses, the cons of the price much outweigh the pros of the instrument. (PS I didn't see/read any similar topics, I'll go look )

Hey, Been looking at some foderas recently and maybe its just me, but the seem almost unattainably expensive... Don't get me wrong, they are excellent instruments, but with a price tag of over $10,000 new in wondering why the command this price tag when there are multiple other stock and custom basses out there which are just as good for half the price... The woods and electrics don't seem to be better than options for a custom, I just can't get My head round the price tags. Any thoughts? Just curious is all

fair play, well all I can say is if that guy really wants to put in a serious offer, then have him contact me and we'll talk. My main reason for agreeing to an 'outside of eBay sale' is that I don't get stung for the 14% eBay/pay-pal fee, which would be in excess of £150 for this rig. I cant abide that. hence putting my number on all my auctions in the hope someone will punt a reasonable offer. I know where you're coming from though, but if I get shafted by my buyer, then I'll inadvertently be shafting someone else as the sale money for this rig is going to a fellow BCer. But in the interest of being fair, I'm happy to talk to the person you know who is bidding and offer them the same agreed sale price and base it on a first come first served principle, but would that be unfair for the buyer I have lined up? I don't know... complex lol. well I'm on 07912222127 if you want to pass it on to your friend, I'm always happy to discuss anything Russ.

Would that be a fellow basschatter with the initials GB by any chance? if so then its not a problem. Anyway, as much as I'd love to 100% trust the word of someone who I've only had phone contact with, to safeguard myself, I have to leave it on there. Either way it needs to sell as the money is earmarked. To take it off without yet having received any money would be counter productive. And as per eBay rules, for any auction you can pull the item off any time you want, so there be no shady business here.
