Nice purchase. I purchased a rosewood neck version. You are right the neck is really comfortable. I’ve learn’t that i slightly prefer tha 70,s B profile neck. I wouldn’t complain about this neck though is really nice.

wasn’t the intention. Just wanted recent input. Wasn’t saying he was rude in the slightest as my physical experience with him was positive. sometimes the intention gets lost in these threads.

Cheers for the input I went there some time ago. Just after lock down. He had some gems.

That’s completely fine regarding you not able to accept visitors. I stated you wasn’t being rude or blunt. It was just very “awkward”. As I haven’t purchased from you before I wanted experience from the bass community. I’ll be buying blind frankly. I am not sure what you mean by the anonymous link. I just sent a link of the pb70 I was interested in purchasing.

Yes I get that. When I called he said he wasn’t feel great. I suggested I’ll follow up in a couple weeks. When I called today I reminded him that I called and he wasn’t in the best of health. I have empathy and I fully get if someone isn’t well. Like I stated, when I went he was a friendly welcoming person. Even on the phone he wasn’t being rude at all it was just “awkward”. This isn’t a bashing thread not my vibe or energy. I just wanted input from the community.

Hi everyone, hope you are good. I wanted to know if anyone has bought from FenderFever in London UK? I am confused about my latest experience. I am interested in trying and purchasing a Fender PB70 MIJ 1991 ash body maple neck. I called a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would be able to come down and try some basses i am interested in purchasing. For reference, I had been to his workshop before. i tried many basses and he was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. He told me that i could only try for 10 mins, the basses are not set up, his workshop is small and his feeling unwell. I told him i have been to his workshop before and he was fine with it. I suggested i call back in a couple weeks. he agreed I call again today. He has sold the other PB70 but still has one left. I ask if the PB70 is still available. He tells me it is not available. I ask has it been sold he says no. He is acting very very awkward. I tell him i am interested in purchasing the bass but want to try it as the description of the bass isn't very detailed. He responds with "you can order it online and i can ship it to you. I have written a detailed description and put loads of pictures." I just told him to forget it as this isn't going anywhere. So i ask has any bought from him or been to his workshop in palmers green? here is the bass: https://www.fenderfever.com/bass/fender-pb-70-precision-bass-reissue---natural---1991---mij

How come we can’t get the cool fender Japan stuff :(

The price difference is massive. I went to wunjo guitars in Denmark street London to try the fender MIJ international colour p bass and it’s close to double the price compared to this site!!! Even with adding tax it’s much cheater. The heritage line is under a 1000 pounds which is basically the Japanese top vintage spec. Drastically cheaper than the vintage II American made. thanks for sharing this -

FENDER MIJ LIMITED INTERNATIONAL COLOR PRECISION BASS

I was really shocked by the price tbh. The neck on every japan made bass I have played always feels perfect. my hands don’t fight it like I am playing a cement block lol. Regarding the body wood only the lower spec basses used basswood. For example the pb-62 reissues are in three tiers 50, 70 and 96. The pb-62 (50) is basswood where the 70 and 96 are alder. The 96 has USA electronics and pick ups. -
What a life she had. So much footage and music to remember her by that she will never be forgotten.

I’ve encountered more dings from basswood. It’s just a soft wood. again chips and dings don’t bother me all that much. -
FENDER MIJ LIMITED INTERNATIONAL COLOR PRECISION BASS

the basswood bass had a tone I am not familiar we regarding a 70’s bass guitar. Granted it could be the pick ups as well as the body. the sound to me was alien. I would have thought the would have gotten very close to the specs of a 70’s pick up. It sounded completely different to the 1980’s pb-70us I played. -

The issue I have with basswood is it’s soft. This means screw holes can over time could lose its catch. Dings (which doesn’t really bother me ) are more easy to happen. I can purchase a late 80’s mij pb-70 ash body/ maple neck with us pick ups for around the same price. for me I felt the pick ups didn’t complement the basswood or vice versa. -
Hey Peeps, I went down to Wunjo Guitars In Denmark Street Yesterday afternoon and they have two new MIJ basses: The Precision in Morocco red (maple fretboard): https://www.wunjoguitars.com/products/made-in-japan-limited-international-color-precision-bass® The Jazz in Yellow: https://www.wunjoguitars.com/products/made-in-japan-limited-international-color-jazz-bass® I Picked up and played the P bass, At the moment I favor P's. The neck is a U shape (this may be my fav). 40mm nut. 70's reissue basically. It played really nicely. the neck was AMAZING.....But the body is basswood! Both are extremely light. I was left confused as they go for £1349! I can't stress how natural and nice the necks were. I just wish it was ash or alder. Wunjo was unpacking a load of guitars so I presume once they have unpacked everything, they will remove the sold-out icon on basses
