  1. WRONG THREAD
  2. I can second Mr East's customer service. After the charger for my P-retro was stolen in a burglary - it was in a gig bag with my Shuttle - he replaced it IIRC FOC!! Top service
  3. They'd go invisible if left on the coffee table. Horrible - just horrible
  4. Aye - when I was googling pics of Flabba for the post a few up there ^^^ it sent me on a 80s nostalgia trip........I worked in a record shop for a few months in 1984 and Barrington Levy lived on the turntable.
  5. this thread makes me wish I could still handle a doobie without getting paranoid but has reminded me of some choonz from the past
  6. skibbadiddlywaddaliywhoah!
  7. Errol Holt plays a I don't know what!!! What is that??? Errol Holt has got to be the yardstick against whom all reggae bassmen should be measured. although I did find this pic of him with a Hofner !!!! (or a clone)
  8. If there's a bass you lust after just buy it whatever the cost be it £2k or more , even. Whatever you buy now, if it's not the one you desire, you'll still hanker after the expensive one. Bite the bullet and just get it.
  9. That's the first thing that I thought of when I saw that brand name...... Whoever decided on that surely was taking the fosters
  10. Urinary tract infection yellow
  11. Sterling by musicman is the same scale length as Squier VM so no. I would say that to persevere with the 34" long scale neck is the best idea. Most basses are that length. I remember when i was a boy thinking the neck was too long for my little hands but I soon got used to it. If you absolutely must have a short scale (30") or medium scale (32") there are only a few to choose from in the budget market.
  12. The CE-2B - the original and still the best. I have a custom made COG clone on my board now as I seem to have lost my CE-2B at some point.
  13. Where do you rehearse these days Loz?
  14. and the bonus: iSeries has WHEELS yes I know the ATA bass case does too....but I mean iSeries is secure AND has wheels
  15. IME there's not a chance on easyJet or the like
  16. That very much depends on who is available and when. At the moment we've not got any gigs until December, so we meet up for 4 hours about once a month to run through some new ideas - we're in a writing phase. We'll probably have a couple of four hour rehearsals in the 10 days before our next gig trip (Sicily 7th Dec). We've been together for donkey's years - we don't need much rehearsing - it's all in the muscle memory. I do miss it when we're in this kind of between gigs phase.
  17. I've had 2 of them. 1 - none of my decent gig bags (Mono M80/Protec Contego) fit inside without removing all the foam from within the shell case. 2 - The mk1 would have the clasps come undone in transit. 3 - The mk2 (with the strap) would not ever stay closed.
  18. So not expensive at all?
  19. An M80 will not be adequate to protect a bass in the hold.
  20. I fly a lot. I'd NEVER put my bass in the hold in my M80 - asking for trouble. I always use a SKB iSeries https://www.skbcases.com/music/products/prodlist.php?s=75&c=84&o=&f=sku_is_waterproof-1-75
  21. I use a DHA-VT1-DI Bass Mk2 for the controllable valve crunch
  22. So i get my wrist slapped for stating a fact about what will happen to import charges after a brexit which takes us out of the single market? I'm not expressing opinion. I'm stating a fact. Are you censoring the facts now?
  23. The way round that is get it shipped through a 3rd party in USA. When i worked for a firm with an office in LA I would use their office as a shipping address and then get them to forward it to me. I did something similar to get my forged car wheels from Japan, via a Japan resident.
