1. I think they're not bad, might sound a bit similar (ones with with basswood bodies / EMG-HZ pickups) but won't sound bad at all.
2. Infinity for me, I love the SN 5in zebrawood.
3. Of course you can - but I bet this works out cheaper.
4. Not a chance of the output being decent I reckon. You're quite right though, it does seem bizarre to have an extension output on a 15w amp.
5. I don't think that the Profet 3.2 will be able to drive that 610 properly - especially if its 900w RMS rated on the cab. The Profet could easily damage the cab if you were overloading it despite the higher handling of the cab. I personally would be looking at around a 300-500w head and for ease of portability - 2 separate cabs. Be it a 410 + 115 etc.. 1 x 8ohm cab = 8ohms. 2 x 8 ohm cab = 4ohms. 1 x 4ohm cab = 4 ohms, 2 x 4ohm cab = 2ohms. Make sense ? It took a little while for me to understand it.. As regards to what brand to go for - what music do you play and what bass do you have ?
6. Average price I reckon. You'd be much better off with the Deluxe Jazz V though.
7. That Eden is cheaper than I expected..looks good.
8. Great sound on all of them.. overall the BB does it for me. Now where did I put it...
9. I played one of these today - WOW ! Such a thumpy tone and a great feel, added to GAS list.
10. Reposted due to dodgy link:
11. Must suck for neck dive.
12. The new regime begins in the new year. You guys get to wear the funky orange !
13. It was a very praising review ! Certainly worth entertaining..
14. When I had my EB180-12 I'd stack it on top of my vertical MAG210. I tried it with the cab vertical and horizontal and couldn't tell much difference. Now i've got the ABM300 I can't do that as it's as wide as the cab and would over spill by about 10cm each side.
15. All of the above really, I change position depending on the music. Though I don't use a plectrum at all...
16.
you have no idea how much wood i had to touch just then!!!!
I managed to think of this in a rude way.
17. Got mine yesterday - have read it all already . Quite a good issue - i'll be giving it another few read throughs for sure.
18. Hopefully it'll be in WHSmith already - have sent the missus to get it .
19. Hooray ! Sell one of the others .
20. I've got a dozen ankles and 8 ears I can trade you homer..
21. If you like it so much - why not get it converted to HH ?
22. Wow - a great way to alienate people further. This will put the price of a new Ric at about £1600 ? I can understand maintaining the product and not mass producing it, but this seems quite crazy. I can see 2nd hand prices going up too now..
23. Cheap wood filler from Homebase did it for me. You get a choice of shades too .
24. Unfortunately half-way would cost me about £50 in fuel on a return trip plus take a whole day from me. Since originally putting this up a few weeks ago, i'd decided to strip it down and revamp it. I wasn't expecting anyone to come with an offer so far after really. I think it might be unrealistic to go head with this, I certainly don't want to risk a courier (don't trust them) so we may have to leave this. Hey - what don't you get your RBX765 defretted anyway ? It'll sound the same as the 775 pretty much.
25. I got bored of it being fretted and did it when I was drunk. Did a good job though... i've got the opportunity to swap it for an RBX765 which is fretted, don't know what to do.
