1.
(I always thought 'dep' was an abbreviation of 'deputize' rather than 'deputy' but am prepared to be proved wrong,)
Same fing, innit?
 2.
I'd cry if I had to make do with a bass that sounded as horribly dead and farty as that.
I dunno... I can hear every note.
 3. OK - the thread's mutated a bit, so I'll add to the moaning: 'ass' and 'arse'.
 4. He had Ray Charles in mind...
 5.
Please give me a shout if you decide to go this route! I'd still have to get another, new one though.
I will - still pondering!
So my second W2126 arrived, and I got all the bits from Tommy to tweak it the way I want them. I bought cloth for the grill from the US. Asked for black corners and black screws. I also got a TKS case for my Mesa Carbine which I fixed with black corners. I must say I am pretty happy with this now. Took a few hours to put it all together the way I wanted. as I asked Tommy to provide the speakers without mounting the grills. I put the logos in the middle instead of the top corner where they normally are. Well, enough about the cosmetics. These cabs are awesome sounding and brings the best out of the Carbine, no doubt about it. Punchy, loud, strong attack. It is all there. As Musicman20 said. I am done.
Beautiful. I bet that sounds righteous...
 6. Sorry - I can bite my tongue no more.. Grill: Grille:
 7. Ah, I'm really sorry to hear that. What a shame. A legendary band on the circuit by all accounts.
 8. The Watchmaker vids are funny as heck, mind...
 9. That's brilliant. I feel mean for criticising it, but I'd gripe that there wasn't a proper P-bass noise in there anywhere. That polite J-honk sounded hopless.
 10. Lovely! I'm actually toying with the idea of getting an S212 and letting one of my S112s go. Modular is great, but I also like the idea of smaller cab and bigger cab... I dunno. In other news - I went to a jam night last night, and brought my Walkabout and a single S112 for the house rig. I played a bit, but it was a great opportunity to sit out front during a blues trio set and hear how it sounds to the audience. The other bass player used a Sadowsky Metro with rounds. Fab... the lows were strong and tight. I'd ramped up the highs a bit on the WA to compensate for the lack of a tweet. The top-end was smooth, and growled when he dug in. Nice and clear. I was pretty amazed tbh, as was he. And when I asked him to pick it up at the end of the night...
 11.
I'm only vaguely curious about this, I reckon I'm all 'Rush live albummed out'.
Me too. I've just watched a big chunk of the Blu Ray and I'm a bit... 'meh'.
 12. I should think so, too. Great amp for 100 quid.
 13. Anyone seen or heard it yet? I'll be watching the Blu-Ray tonight. I've heard that the CD mix is awful - the clips I've heard online seem to back that up. Hopefully the Blu-Ray will be better. Hopefully.
 14. I can't remember the last time I watched or listened to any of Neil's solos outside of a gig. They're just too self-indulgent now...
 15. WTF = well tight-fisted.
 16. Thanks for all your responses re: above - it might be that a they go around a few BC'ers to give plenty of people a chance to give them a run out. If anyone else would like to get involved, let me know and I'll send the details to Tommy.
 17. Didn;t have time to make one. Bought one. Well worth it.
 18. I know RNBMAN very well - He's a top chap. and I can vouch for him 100%. Good luck with the sale, Mr. S.!
 19.
No point arguing about it. It would seem a common sense approach is too labour intensive - perhaps I don't understand the moderators roll fully. Surely if a moderator has teeth there's nothing to fix?
Ah, OK. The quick answer is that it's too time-consuming.
 20.
What's so hard to understand? The way the moderators assume people use the wanted section isn't how I, or it would seem quite a few people, use it.
You realise I could ask you the same question..? It's not how I use it either. But it's been noted, and it'll be fixed at some point. If it ruins your BC experience, that's a shame. But I don't think it does.
 21.
Wrong. The wanted section has changed. Keep up sir!
Do you have to pay to place a wanted ad?
 22.
Not the way I used to...
I know. Frustrating, isn't it? Thanks for bearing with it, though. It'll be resolved at some point.
 23.
So that's not actually floating!
Well, it's a strange thing... it is and it isn't. It slides around as I play - doesn't stay in one spot, and I only do it for the split second I'm on the low E...
 24.
To use the marketplace.
And... can you use the marketplace?
 25.
so when playing on the E do you push against the body with your thumb/hand for a bit of stability, lightly press, or literally hover without touching the bass?
I had to go and try it, 'cos I couldn't recall... I brace the top-end of my thumbnail against the pickguard / body.
