2.
Now now, wipe that Pino brown stuff off of your nose... and get out of the 80's! Just Kidding, this thread is all about what influenced our styles, so opinions are going to vary.. You are right though, I should not have put Pino in the "big in favour bucket" when he is big and in favour. As for Tal, I suppose when you get your Flux Capacitor working again, you will be able to inform us all how Quote long?or... as illustrious? Unquote her career will be. Wheres my dummy gone....?
I will, as soon as I can Figure out how to reverse the polarity on the nutron flow!! Dammn it! Pino brown stuff? were not worthy to... etc...etc
 3.
erm..ok.... why would you "hate" any music...?
Pork pie hat(s) that type of thing (sorry to bring it up again, but it made me laugh So much!first time round) anyone else remember? (Doddy has good sense of humour) I mean Jazzers who wear hats you know,..its not hot, ..its not wet, ..its not......needed,....affectation, that type of thing LOVE music btw
 4. Quote"I dont go for all the "big in favour" players like Pino etc... although i do like Tal Wilkenfeld, she plays amazingly! oops, thats four.. " Unquote they're not "Big in favour"....well that is Pino isnt! he has had a long, long, time carreer and his C.V. is as long as an Oliver Reed Till recipt from oddbins in 1985. Not Flavour of the month by any stretch,.. now...Tal Wilkenfield....flavor of the month(talented as she is) will her career last as long?or be as illustrious? Im guessing, sadly not. oops she is good though! that Drummer fella did well to spot her. what was he called again?
 5.
Ah that old chestnut...well i had better take a listen. im sure i heard some in a lift the other day too. as obvious a post as the day is long..Please! can i ask what you listen too bro?
I'd bet its nowt to do with "Digging" up "Cats" or indeed saying "Cool"or"Groovy" or "Crazy" in a serious way, and the like. I know "ThisNameistaken" hates "Jazz hats" too! Oh ....and possibly "bro" too
 6. Well I think, 1,Pino Palladino but... Quote" (not his fretless playing)" Unquote,...well why the Fu#k not? say I!!? Pino can do NO wrong for me, and his fretless playing influenced a generation and "reminded" me what Jaco did before, I may have missed out on his playing otherwise( if you were around and playing in '82and'83 youll understand) 2, No apologies, still love that stuff thats Mark King 3, Andy Frasier, Guy Pratt ( for"The Delicate Sound of Thunder"album...Thanks Guy, for Many nights of blissed out listening Bliss!!) oh ...oh .. and Dick Nolan, he taught me how to count...it took him along time and a lot of rewinds!! I cant decide on Just Three. So, I know thats too many Thwakka Danng, yooodee dooo dommmm.....e.tc.

 9.
Haha!! Easily the best comment I am ever going to receive 'delightfully silly' I think is going to be my new phrase! Speaking of which, my friend Dan who plays drums for this is a wonderfully flexible and creative drummer who nailed my entire album in a day - but for this I just said 'Play it like Vic and Bob would like...' I think the little drum break at the end is pretty apt.
Love the drummers work!! as well as yours, Brill stuff
 10. Prehaps not the best Beatles tune ever but "why dont we do it in the road?" has some nice Bass playing on it (give it another listen that in mind)

 12.
selling my Trace Elliot AH250 GP11 Mk V this is the amp that glows from the switchable UV tube on the front :-) sorry in advance to interested parties for not putting up a price- but Ill consider offers and find out the value that way. I've seen versions 600 watt and 300watt etc on eBay and the prices vary big time, so I cant be sure. Feel free to advise its all working beautifully and has nothing missing except for one of the four rubber feet on the side which acts as a buffer when carrying it like a brief case. get in touch through 'Basschat' here or you can call or text me : 07957 214 483
MMMMmmm I like, but no price? no dice! seriously, may be intrested at right amount of sheckals, whadaya say?
 13. Eric Clapton never disapoints, he's allways a bore & a bit crap IMO. so at least he's consistent But, the stuff played by the guy on the white Jazz bass, the ska thing, made the show worth watching though. Oh & I've never heard of Dave Bronze before...Should I have? Bellowhead are ace arn't they? Edit: oh was that the guy from The Specials? bass legend...thats why I liked...ah fagedaboudit.....
 14.
As much as I like 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number', I've played it on every gig for almost 14 years.
never played it,ever, even once,... but would love to. what a tune! count your blessings, my friend now "Dancin' in the Dark", on the other hand.....GAHHH!!

 19. If you're in a north west based Band (ie,Manchester to cheshire way) and consider yourself to be a good pub/rock type covers band,70s 80s 90s 00s thing (you know what I mean) and find yourself gigless/between stools/nowt on, tonight,23/10/2010 well you could help me out. poorly sick singer so possibly cant do this gig and the singer is the only one you cant get a dep for so.. this really is a last resort measure, because we dont let a good Landlord down. usual dough for pub gig in The NW for a 3/4 peice ( ie not exactly kings randsome but realistic ) usual pub covers material (no rocket science, in fact, if you have to ask don't bother Its too late to explain!) PM me please in confidence. This may resolve itself tonight, (even at this late hour EDIT: it didnt!)but dont want to let any one down and if you dont ask... you dont get, but as far as not letting anyone down I'd like to have a few options to give the landlord hes a good man!. I Know Its Very last min. but what can we do BCers? Thanks W (hope this doesn't break any rules BTW)

 22.
I heard you playing earlier on, and thought you were ace...i think Billy Sheehan was struggling against the masses at some points. they'll have it all sorted by next year, haha.
I looked for you AT, was around for a couple of hours(1400/to post stu hamm) with MB1 sorry to have missed you I still owe you that cold one Witterth
