Fellow Basschatters, An interesting point was raised following on from a light-hearted jest from me on another thread. Let's suppose you are a professional, jobbing bass player who needs to have regular income from your work - would you play with absolutely anyone just to meet that requirement? If you were asked to play with an artist who you have no respect for and whose music is really not your type of thing, would you just grit your teeth and do it for the money OR turn the gig down? In other words, does 'integrity' come into the picture at all? Just curious...

My SR5 (as seen on my avatar) is the discontinued teal colour which I really like as it looks different depending on the light: sometimes more blueish, sometimes more greenish, and the grain of the wood shows through nicely. Lovely birds eye maple neck too. Mine is a 1991 model, so it apparently has a slightly different pre-amp to the norm, and alnico pickups I believe. By the way, I'm not thinking of selling it - I'm just stoking up yer GAS a little [attachment=70503:DSC01933.JPG]
