1. Yes, had both, still have the HB and I love it, it's a bit on the heavy side but the tones and finish are brilliant. The JD is as everyone says and it's good but I prefer the thud and clarity of the HB but it's very subjective isn't it? My 'like' might be your poison, I even bought the HB 50's too and I can't really fault that either. ICONIC why did you bin your JD?

6. hahahahaha, 'sup Karl? meaning? Interest rates are crap so why not buy a few nice basses that may increase in value given time.
7. I have one that I bought not long ago on here and put it away for a rainy day, it's as new.

Bump for my beautiful bass!
17. Have you compared the Wilkos to the SD SPB-1 pickup? I don't REALLY want to buy another if the wilko is similar.
18.
oh god why did you have to go posting these pics? why did you have to say it's good? it'd make the perfect testbed for a few non-invasive mods too... like the very nice Schaller JBX pups I've got hanging around that are just begging to be chucked into a bass... like the various homebrewed eq types ive been experimenting with... please, please tell me it's actually a terrible bass and that i shouldnt bother getting one... please, somebody talk me out of it
Ok it's an absolute dog
19. Hi, yes! just. Another perfectly finished HB. The only thing wrong is that the pickup wobbles a bit from side to side but it's getting changed anyway. Tuners don't seem as positive as the Jazz but that may be me anyway. It's also a bit lighter than the Jazz so that's good for me. Neck has some posh figuring too, the whole thing feels great. the Wilko pickup is as loud and clear as the Squier 50s that I bought at the same time, quite articulate though the very bottom end is not quite as thumpy as I would personally like. All subjective and easy for me to fix with an SD that I have. Action was very low out of the box and required minimal tweaking for me. *Edit the tuners are fine now the strings (D Addarios btw) are settled. So for 80 quid it's a no brainer I recommend this bass, super value for money. You could part it out and make money on it

SOLD.

Here for sale is my quite rare ATK 300. I bought it recently from Mark at C&C. This bass is in superb condition, the paintwork is deep and lustrous and lights up the room. The neck has lovely figuring too. Big sound from that 3 coil pickup, low action and a great bass to play. This was imported from the USA at some cost as this colour was not available over here. On the back there are a couple of tiny scuffs that I can't even photograph. There is no case or bag with this but I have some proper boxes to sent it in. I'm only selling this because I've gotten into Squiers & Harley Bentons am am having fun playing about with them. Standard straplocks will be back on. £299 Pics: Thanks for looking.
21. Does anyone use a string winder? if so which?
22. Weird this. I've just sold my expensive USA Jazz because I've bought 2 new Squiers, a 50's tele in natural & maple and a VM amber precision. Both superb instruments and for what I play (church) and my level of incompetence they are more than adequate. Also bought the £100 HB Jazz My Gas is fulfilled unless.......... That said I have an SCPB-2 in my box.......
