  1. Solutions? Ashdown LittleGiant1000 and a light 1x12" cab. Neo112 (G&K) or something custom made. I've bought this little head and I'm extremely pleased. Built a 12" cab with marine grade plywood and can lift it with one hand... it bears an Eminence Beta 12"LT (coaxial, so no tweeter needed). Don't put weight on your back for now!
  2. Hello! I need to make some room Eminence Beta LT 12" - new in box - €40 Eminence Kappa Pro 15" - only demo-ed - still has to be broken in. Bartolini Classic Bass in Musicman shape - good conditions - €60 EMG HZ in Musicman shape - as new with box. - €40 Status Energy preamp - €30 3 single way truss rods for guitar - €10 each I'm in Italy, shipping isn't steep for small items. Will consider all reasonable offers.
  3. Look at my myspace page and you'll see
  4. I've already watched it I took a look at youtube days ago. Sorry about the fretwork, anyway... it's very annoying when you have string buzz. I'd be thrilled to build a fretless for you, one day. And I'd really look forward to see a video with one of my instruments. I have a similar approach to solo bass, Mick Karn and Percy Jones are IMHO the best players in the world... but don't forget Yves Carbonne, Manring, Miller and King!
  5. 10 and already planning a 12.
  6. Spoombung, I'd be really glad if you could put the video back (even the audio only) as I find you playing style really really interesting.
  7. I love 30" but 32" is probably the best balance of tone, strings choice (but not with my basses) and playability. [attachment=29714:SUC52182.JPG]
  8. Video removed!
  9. I think the pots can be removed (with a soldering iron) and used putting short leads between them and the preamp.
  10. No problem but I thought it could be an useful informations for potential bidders... and I'm letting it go for a steal price.
  11. I think that the pots can be easily removed and replaced so the holes layout shouldn't be a problem.
  12. Still available! Sorry for the blurry pics... too much coffee in these days. [attachment=28626:SUC52402.JPG]
  13. If shipping wasn't steep I'd take it
  14. I've built both a 6er and a fiver with 32" scale and in both cases the LowB was perfect. If the bass is well built you're not going to regret the medium scale choice. But I'd make the headstock longer or the bridge able to take the strings thru the body as most LowB don't like to be bent in their thicker part and could break. Don't know if it's clear... you should have the B tuner far enough or the Low B going thru the body to allow you to wrap the string on the tuner in the best way.
  15. Put it on the Stew McKinsey forum too... it's full of ERB players. Good luck!
  16. Works fine but I have no use for it. £30 shipped within Europe. PayPal is fine.
  17. Very nice bass and very well made review! Congrats to both builder and customer Alan is an artist and you've been extremely detailed. Well done!
  18. I've built several instruments with this shape. This is NOT the body shape that made Carl Thompson famous, though. I've got and modified a 70s shape he used for a few instruments but it's not very well known (and, even if it's not very easy to see, it's been heavily modified for my neck joint). That particular bass could be fitted with a Badass since the neck is higher on the body. It had a nicest slap sound too.
  19. Very very nice!
  20. Hei! It looks like John (the guy I built this for) let it go for a weight issue. As far as I know he had a bad shoulders problem and couldn't play basses over 3kg without pain. That particular bass had a thick fingerboard/neck (about 25mm at the first fret) but both feel and sound were very very nice. The slap sound was massive (and it's still wired in parallel!). For that price it's a steal. I'm tempted to buy it back!
