I know I have been on here a while but never actually said hello, So hello from the sunny Midlands.

I have an Ashdown 250 head and it is coming upto the time I need to replace the fan, it is making too much noise. What is the best brand to choose to reduce the sound and still be good at cooling the amp? I guess it would be a 12v 80mm fan, unless anyone tells me otherwise?

My first bass Vintage V4 sounds amazing for £150.

Where do you mainly shop for bass products?

I just picked up a loverly MAG 250 for £120 which is good.

I know this has probably been done a million times, but the search function never works for me. I play a P bass, I play mostly motown/stax music with some 70's disco music thrown in. It is mostly finger style but I use some pick/slap work. I will run the cab through an Ashdown MAG 250 head. Chances are eventually I will have both cabs, but which one should I get first (the 115 is the one most avaliable second hand)? also does a MAG 210 sound much different to an ABM?

I let them die on me, until I have to do a gig or something and then I throw them in a bath of meths for 24 hours and slap them back on, they sound great!

It is the transformers, but also the components and construction method.
