  1. Lez Paul = incorrect Less Paul = correct
  2. For about fifteen minutes I stared open-mouthed and couldn't look away. When I did look away it was a great relief.
  3. Ther's humour in music whether you like it or not ... but why woudn't you?
  4. Your Bass VI looks in a better state than the one in that link.
  5. I had a similar problem with a Squier Bass VI. It was fixable with an appropriate shim
  6. Not often at all and never at the 24th fret because I dont have one. If memory serves, that's a six-note chord, which I could arpeggiate anywhere on my four string neck, if required. For example in first inversion: E-G-Bb-D-F-C = Em7b5b9b13
  7. I believe Gibson/Epiphone neck breaks are usually in the nut region. My son snapped his Epiphone Casino headstock at the nut but £80 repair and it was better than ever.
  8. In 50 years of playing I've never broken a neck and nor have I ever been hindered by a bolt-on.
  9. That was six and a half years ago and I no longer have any of those instruments nor the settee.
  10. If you drop a Fender down a flight of stairs it might need a new neck but chances are it won't need a new neck and might even still be in tune.
  11. There are plenty of timewasters but also ... We were moving house, downsizing, and we had a very nice oak desk that had to be got rid of. We had failed to sell it at a fair price, so it went on Facebook for £25 if 'you take it away before the weekened'. A woman arranged for husband to collect in his van. Guy turns up, in the dark, and gets desk in van. He gives me thirty quid and says 'keep the change, very nice desk'. Half an hour later woman rings up and says, 'that desk is worth way more than £30, I'd like to give you some more money?' After a brief chat Mrs ET and the woman agree a further £75 to a homeless charity. I don'y actually know for sure that the £75 was paid to charity but i'd like to believe it was.
  12. These are lovely basses. I don't know why I sold mine. Well, I do know, but I don't like to think about it.
  13. I'm crying in disbelief at £40K for a table.
  14. So, if you were to go up there, play the fill or execute the motif, and then quickly get back down your own end. There's a job to be done.
  15. Wouldn't a Les Paul bass have a set neck and not be neck through
  16. It's not only the neckplate that's curved. Here's a better pic. And I was only comparing it to an Elite Jazz heel posted earlier.
