Hi All, Since I am buying a Prestige, I am selling my Ibanez Ibanez SR1205VNF Premium. Those who know series should know how good they are—fantastic value for the money, and beyond, really. The reason I am "upgrading", so to speak, is that I fell in love with an SR5005 Premium. But this is more a matter of tone than it is one of quality, so to speak, This is really built like a tank, and plays wonderfully. The reasons for the low price are the following: I no longer have the original case (but I could be persuaded to part with one of my old cases), and there is some buckle rash on the back (I'll send you detailed pics if you are interested, but it's not very easy to capture with the current light). The bass looks awesome otherwise. Also, for some reason I cannot find the truss rod cover, but I suspect it'll turn up eventually. As a plus, the bass has recently been at the luthier's and had its frets levelled and the preamp re-soldered, as some cheeky loose connection was annoying the hell out of me. I have a set of boxes from Thomann which I can use for shipping it (the usual set of inside smaller box and outside larger one). Or we can discuss the addition of a Gator hardshell case, with the caveat that it is not going to be its own original foam one. So, 500 ONO. Below is the usual blurb: Tear It Up on Ibanez's High-End Tone Machine! Boutique-quality tonewoods, hot-rodded electronics, and huge, aggressive tone -- that's what you get with the 5-string Ibanez SR1205 Premium electric bass. The SR1205 treats your ears and eyes with USA Nordstrand Big Single pickups, EQB-IIISC three-band EQ, mid-frequency and EQ bypass switches, a Mono-Rail IV bridge with locking saddles, a five-piece wenge/bubinga neck with KTS Titanium Reinforcement rods, a rosewood fretboard with abalone oval inlays, an ovangkol-topped mahogany body, and posh gold hardware to top it off. Plus, this baddie's fifth string will give you more low end to shake your fans to their very core. Attractive Ovangkol-Topped Mahogany Body Resting comfortably against your front is your SR1205's rich ovangkol-topped mahogany body. An African cousin of rosewood, ovangkol adds a nice breadth of midrange to your playing, while its cool grain pattern exudes class. Meanwhile, the SR1205's mahogany body really brings out the middle and lower end tones of your notes. Together, these tonewoods deliver a very rich and dark color that you'll love through and through. Slick Five-Piece Wenge/Bubinga Neck The Ibanez SR1205's snug and comfy 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck adds a pleasant brightness and punch to your licks and grooves. Playability is the name of the game here, thanks to the SR1205's smooth rosewood fretboard with attractive abalone oval inlays and 24 medium frets with premium fret edge treatment. KTS Titanium reinforcement rods provide longer intonation and ultimate stability, so every note makes its way seamlessly from your axe's neck to its body in smooth and uninterrupted fashion. Nordstrand "Big Single" 5 Neck and Bridge Pickups A pair of Nordstrand "Big Single" 5 pickups do this bass sonic justice, taking in its full-bodied tone and projecting every inch with plenty of presence. With this pair of single-coils, you won't find any low end mud in your signal, no matter how low you go. Three-band EQ and Bypass Switches The tone controls on this baby will give you a lot of sound-shaping power. You have bass, mid, and treble EQ controls, as well as two bypass switches -- one for your EQ, and the other for your mid frequency settings. The sonic spectrum the SR1205 yields is virtually limitless. Stable Mono-Rail IV Bridge with Locking Saddles To hold your game down, the SR1205 boasts a Mono-Rail IV bridge with locking saddles. Your strings will hold intonation for longer periods, and your whole notes will resonate in lasting sustain, which is perfect for pauses or holds. You'll be able to keep your mind focused on your playing and not your intonation, thanks to the hardware on your Ibanez SR1205! This bass is sold as a factory second for a tiny blem on the back too small to photo. Features: - Ovangkol-topped mahogany body - Five-piece wenge/bubinga neck - Rosewood fretboard with abalone oval inlays - 24 medium frets with premium fret edge treatment - KTS Titanium reinforcement rods - Gold hardware - Secure Mono-Rail IV bridge with locking saddles - Nordstrand "Big Single" 5 neck and bridge pickups - EQB-IIISC three-band EQ - Mid-frequency and EQ bypass switches - Black Tusq XL nut

I always wanted to try a Thunderbird properly, so I bought this one. It is really impressive, and succeeds in the impossible quest of making me look cool. The Gibson pick ups are really something special, the neck can be made exceptionally straight, and the action can be set as low as you want, really. It is also surprisingly light, which was welcome news to me. The Gibson pick ups are growly and thicccc, and, as the video demonstrates, they oddly work well for playing Bach, which I did not expect. However, the longer I play, the more I blame it for not being a Jazz. Clearly that's not its fault, but mine—it's just that I always revert to a Jazz. So I am putting it up for sale. Nothing terribly urgent here: it's in very, very good conditions, minus a small ding, which I have endeavoured to capture in as much detail as I could. But it's really not that evident. Ideally this would be picked up from Liverpool. I don't have a case. Trade wise: I would be interested in a Squier Classic Vibe / Vintage Modified J or P. Not interested in other Js or Ps, sorry. Shipping is possible. (I have a box, not a case, but I am good at packing!) Movie on 31-05-2019 at 12.56 #2.export.mov

Hi all, I am selling this Bass Vi. It is in as-new condition, with some of the plastic film still on, and it plays marvellously. (And yes, it djents.) Also, I should have taken better pictures, but natural light was not an option at the moment. The only reason why I am selling this is that I have just just found my dream Ibanez RG on ebay and, in a fit of '80s nostalgia, I pulled the trigger. So what needs must. Currently, I am in Liverpool, but I visit London and Dublin frequently. Arrangements can be made, but the shipping is on you.

I just sold my Spirit to Mick (overdriver). Very smooth transaction, and he actually drove all the way to Dublin. I am sure the bass is going to a loving home. Recommended!

It appears I am the first to give feedback to Saimonbass. I sold a Warwick Thumb to him. Smooth transaction, and lots of patience on his side as I was setting up my paypal account. Recommended!

Surely we could discuss terms for me to relieve you of it! I have been berating myself forever for selling mine!

Hi, I am selling my Spirit. It plays very well, but it's just not getting enough use and I just saw a guitar that I want to buy. It's located in Dublin, but I do travel to London every so often. It's got newish .040 strings and a string adapter, too, that I can sell of keep for another headless of mine, so your call entirely (250 if you don't want it). Incidentally, I have levelled the frets and the action is just plain ridiculous. Comes with the original gigbag. Being broom-shaped, it may also be used for menial housework..

Joe was the perfect buyer. I sold a bass to him, paid promptly and organised collection with no hassles whatsoever. Warmly recommended!

Hi all, I am considering parting ways with this beauty. It is in absolutely top shape, never gigged as far as I know, and with the decals still on. It does, however, have a very, very, very small chip on the bottom of the body (just under the bridge). Needless to say, it does not affect playability, and I think you might be able to cover it properly with a marker in a pinch. The only thing I did to it in the few weeks i had it was to replace batteries and strings, oil the fretboard, and give it a racecar-like setup. The neck is an arrow and the action insanely low (we're talking a mere 2 mm under the B string at the last fret), with no buzz. Comes with OHSC and case candy. It is, by any standard, the ideal jazz bass, with the perfect Fender voice in passive and lots of tonal variety the moment you switch on the preamp. However, I sense that I might be after something a little different. So, I am in North London, open to a bit of haggling and to specific trades. So, if you have the right Stingray 5, Bongo 5, Spector Euro 5, or Warwick 5 (I might be interested in a variety of models), please send a PM my way. I could also consider the Ibanez Prestiges, or something else with with cash my way. I really don't need a four string at the moment. As ever, a meetup is strongly preferred.

Hi All, I am selling this beauty, which I bought not long ago from Tony of this parish. It is a very nice instrument, but, once again, I discovered that I am more of a Fender person—or an Ibanez person if I have to go down that road. This bass does have an exceptional tone, and—quite literally—a sustain that is like no other bass I've ever tried. I am saying that after owning a Status bass, mind you. I hope you won't mind me sharing the photos from the original post. The bass is still in the great conditions it came in, except I lowered the action a tiny bit. It plays like butter., but it's punishing. It comes with a Sadowsky soft / hard case and a tin of Warwick wax. Ideally, this would have to be picked up from London, and I'd be happy to shave something off the price if this can be arranged. Otherwise, I am happy with Paypal. Trades: you can try and tempt me, but I am likely to say not. However, if you have a Euro Spector, a 5 string Jazz, or a tasty 5 or 6 string Ibanez, I might be game. Thanks!

Hi all, I am selling my US Jazz. I got this new in 2017, from Bassman666 of this parish, who got it in 2013. It's a 2012 in Midnight Wine Red. She's a stunner (the one on top in the picture) in very good condition, with just few minor chips and slight play wear. This bass is extraordinary. I am selling it because I have another bass which I find even more unique and, since I always grab that, this one sits in a case, which is preposterous. I also still don't know in which continent I am going to live in the next month, so I tend to travel light. It features: A kiogon series/parallel V/V/T loom. Pull up the tone knob and you'll be able to make everything rumble, summon the occasional demon, and even leave the European Union Di Marzio pick ups, but the original ones will be included too. A hipshot drop tuner, currently set to low B (yes it does work) Two fender pickguards (white and black) Two cheap ones in white and grey pearl The truly lovely abs molded case, so fancy I'd sleep in it A truss rod tool (never got the original, but it works just fine) Fairly newish strings I can ship, if need be, but I'd rather not. I am in London, and if you come and pick it up you'll save me a massive hassle, and receive the assurance that tea will be forthcoming as you try the bass. But, if need be, happy with paypal and shipping.

For certain techniques, a small radius can be hellish, more on a 5 string than on a 4. I had a 7.25" classic '50 P with which I could do more or less anything. A 7.25" 5 string Marcus Miller V7 I had to sell rather swiftly--to small a radius for a fiver. 10" is actually more than fine for tapping and chording. It is of course possible that you would enjoy a flatter radius more, but I think it is really inadvisable to go through such ab invasive mod for such a comparatively small change.
