2. Thanks Richard. It is indeed a great bass and a bit of a reluctant sale but I need to cut the numbers down a bit! Kind regards Pete
 3.
great 4 string! What´s the serial number?
Certainly is a great bass. It plays superbly. Serial number is 1874. When I bought this bass I tried a Metro, as it was cheaper. The NYC was far superior - chalk and cheese! At this price don't bother with a Metro when you can have the 'Real McCoy'!
 4.
Lovely bass What is the weight? and what is the width at the nut? Cheers
Hi On the bathroom scales it says between 7 and 8lbs. As a guide it's a good one to two pounds lighter than my Overwater jazz. Width at the nut is the normal jazz standard of 1.5". The neck is very, very easy to play. Hope this helps Cheers Pete

Just got in from agig. I'll weigh and measure it tomorrow (I mean today, looking at the time) and post it up. Regards, Pete
 6. Up for sale is my Sadowsky NYC. It comes with the original Sadowsky case. Made in 2000, this is a beautiful bass and plays like a dream. I'm only selling it because I don't get along with maple fingerboards so it's just not being played. It really ought to go to someone who will appreciate it fully. I'm not interested in trades as I'm looking to raise cash for my next purchase. Price is [s]£1,900 £1.850[/s] now £1800 collected from Leeds or I'll meet up for the cost of the diesel. If it doesn't sell at this price I'm keeping it!

 8. Thanks Rich. Great to meet you, too. Flu jab is booked. Hope your trip to Cyprus goes OK - I'm sorry that I forgot to offer my condolences when we met. Kindest regards, Pete
 9. Just been down to see Rich to complete a deal for his Roadworn Jazz. What a great guy! I had a cup of coffee and an hour's worth of chat with him. Brilliant! Thanks for the coffee, Rich and the ultra-smooth transaction. Highly recommended! Best regards Pete
 10. I used to have a Tech 21 VT pedal. They are excellent at achieving the really warm sound of valves without going to too much expense. Well worth trying. I used mine all the time, just sat there on top of my Aguilar DB751. I only sold it on when I sold the 751 and bought a Matamp GT200. That gives me the real deal.

 12.
I let a bass go with my lovely old DR Sunbeams on. Silly me as the older they get the better I like 'em. I put a wanted ad up for some used Sunbeams and Pete came up trumps. He sent them first class, they arrived next day and all he asked was that I make a donation to BC. What a true gent if ever there was one !! Thanks very much indeed Pete, you've saved me a couple of months of hard work playing them in and a fair amount of cash to boot, it's very much appreciated. Cheers for everything Buddy, Pete.
Hi Pete Glad to be of help and a pleasure to meet you on BC. Regards Pete
 13.
Has anyone already tried the new GT200? I also wonder if depth and presence controls are still useful with bass/mid/treble tone stack?
I find the Depth control to be very useful. When I first bought the amp it seemed that only the 10 o'clock and 12 o'clock positions would be any good. That was until I was playing in a small, very enclosed room that was very very boomy. The only setting that would allow the bass to cut through without it going muddy was the 2 o'clock position! Kudos to Matamp for seeing that one! The Prescence I don't really use so can't comment, I'm afraid. Hope this helps Regards Pete

 15.
Awesome, awesome bass at a great price! I really can't praise them highly enough. As Jigster says, the necks are just amazing! Good luck with the sale dude!
+1 from me. Mine plays like a dream and the 3 band eq allows you to get whatever tone you're looking for. Outplays a Fender any day of the week. It's a shame they chose to call it a "Basic" as it's anything but basic - top quality build and great necks. Best of luck with the sale!
 16. Lindy Fralin pick ups really do make all the difference. I've a pair on my Overwater Jazz and they make it sound beautiful. Best of luck with the sale. Regards Pete
