  1. The headstock "logo" is bizarre to say the least.. All cotton, fast colours, made in England.. 🤔
  2. These pretty much always need some work according to more or less everyone who's had them, mine included. I'd think as far as I can see here you'd be wanting to shim the neck for starters. I didn't on mine but needed to give the truss rod a significant tweaking to take some of the "relief" out... Unlike for instance the Squier PJ I got that I could've literally just tuned up and done a gig with it straight out of the box. That said they're great fun to play when sorted so worth it imho.
  3. Is it an SX with the hooky headstock?
  4. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275903177303?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=XXyGfQ_CSxu&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=b67waN--Sji&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  5. Always a bit annoying when people do a reserve on something, better to just start the thing at the minimum you'd accept. Not that I'd want this particular bass ( other than to butcher for parts maybe), though it's in the right area.
  6. Not Victor Borge then...
  7. Jazz Ciggys also recommended ...
  8. Very true, shirt from primark, scissors, pudding basin.... Sorted
  9. Has the element of shlt tho doesn't it
  10. I bet that means "heavily soiled Y fronts" in Danish.. Am I right? 👍
  11. He'd shurely need a nasty check shirt and an 'orrible haircut too tho..?
  12. I'll try and find the full movie on 'tinternet later
  13. I bet that'd be the kind of thing it'd say when you were disconnecting it, like Hal 9000 doing Daisy Daisy
  14. Don't remember that one, but now you've mentioned it I will check it out 👍
  15. A good point, can even be changeable over time or circumstances for one player too... I have always been a very trebly roundwound strings type sounding bloke, but on a couple of bands I did I went the complete opposite, a kind of very bassy dub type tone, as it just fitted infinitely better with the music on those occasions.
  16. As I've said elsewhere, I can't sing for toffees.. The nearest living relatives to velocoraptors are birds I believe, I don't really communicate as such, but I do put some seeds and stuff out for them. ...
  17. Nah, vocoders only.. Which reminds me I've got an old keyboard thing that has a crude "vocoder" thingy, must dig it out and have a go, maybe there's hope for me singin' yet
  18. Bye bye blackbird, Andrews Sisters (probably)
  19. I've even been introduced to people by a girlfriend who said "oh, he's a guitarist"
  20. Were they both wearing those old thick lens goggle eyed glasses by any chance.. 😁
  21. Song of the Clyde, Kenneth MacKellar
  22. If he pays a deposit using F&F there's no risk at all.. You could just laugh, walk away, and keep it, there's no come back or possible refund option he can persue (not that you would of course but just saying) I'd say OK, F&F deposit which is non returnable if you pull out of the sale and balance in cash on collection.
  23. Cigarettes, Whiskey & Wild, Wild Women, Jim Croce
