1. For the power I always used a 4-way and sound heavy duty velcro to attack it to the inside of the rack case, then used tie wraps to bundle up the cables. Problem solved for under a tenner and you can always change it later, no cutting of cables.
2. I've got a double Hercules stand and it's the best one I've ever used...
3. Just sold my Behirnger BTR2000 with the rest of my rack gear and bought and Pitchblack. It arrived today and I used it tonight at band practice. It's nice Has 4 different screen/tuning modes, but cant get the hang of stobe so I'll stick with a the regular needle style tuning mode. (Only downside is that it doesn't let you tune as you play )
4. Trace Elliot Amp available again. everything else gone. £50 + postage, any takers?
5. Just flogged a rack case to Warpig. Good communication and friendly guy. Paid quickly
6.
also does a MAG 210 sound much different to an ABM?
FWIW. I went and tried a MAG115 and an ABM115 and was amazed how different they sounded. I played around with 3 different amps, the ABM500, MAG500 and LG350 and was unimpressed with the sound of the MAG cabinet. In the end, I picked up an Ashdown Classic Neo Mini 15 Cabinet off Soundslive for £330 (special offer price), only £20 more than the ABM115, but lighter and made in the UK. As for the difference between a 210 and a 115- Dunno.
7. @mikegatward. Just PM'd you back. AMP is on hold for someone. Still got the rack for sale.....
8. Behringer BTR2000 Rack Tuner Been well used, but in excellent condition, always kept in a rack case. Has 2 inputs and can be used with a foot switch to change between the inputs. Has loads of different tuning modes and is nice and clear to use. Also includes a rack light, to light up the equipment below it in your rack. I bought it new about 12 months ago. Only selling as I'm getting rid of all my rack gear to buy a new amp. Cost about £60 new. I'd like £30 for it + postage.
9. Wireless system is sold pending payment. Now for the rackcase anyone? No, then maybe a bump for the practice amp?
10. What does the footswitch control? And do you have a price in mind for just the amp?
11. B U M P Price drop on Wireless - £80! Amp - £50 4U Rack case - £40 Any takers....
12. V-Amp sold to Prosebass, subject to the usual. Rack may be available again. £40.
13. Rack case sold pending...... Price drop on the V-amp and the practice amp. £50 each!
14. Having tried both markbass and ashdown amps. Here's my thoughts.... I thought that the sound of the Ashdown ABM range beat the pants off the MAG sound. Hard to describe, just sounds lovely. Especially with a bit of the tube drive dialled in. I really liked the markbass sound and was really tempted to buy a LMII and a 151P Traveller cabinet. In the end I've picked up a new Ashdown Classic Neo 15 cab from soundslive.co.uk for £330. They have some others going cheap at the mo, but mine was the last one at that price. As for the amp, I'm erring towards an ABM500 purely for the wide range of sounds. The markbass sounded great for clean sounds, but I suspect I'd end up buying more pedals! As for the rancid comment. Awesome bassist. When I saw them recently, I think Matt Freeman was playing an Ampeg stack. I suspect that the ashdown will give you a closer sound that the markbass - if that's what your aiming for. Hope this helps.
15. I really like the Yamaha but have no spare cash. They are really nice to play. Heres a free bump.
16. Sennheiser EW100/300 mics are good. We have some freeport's aswell, but worth getting the metal ones for the extra cash.
17. Mac software for V-amp... http://www.wabbitwanch.com/iVAMP.html I have the V-Amp pro and have used a M-Audio Midi/USB adapter to connect it to my Mac. I also used the software on the website to program my FCB1010 midi foot controller. Incidentally, I'm selling the V-amp now to fund a new amp if anyone is interested.... 18. I bought the behringer one and just manage with it, but I don't play a 5-string. I just play the 12th harmonic on my E if the tuner is having a bad day
19. I got 2 Bespeco Wall hanger for 10 off ebay. Never been a problem. Looks like this one.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bespeco-Bass-Guitar-...8#ht_2987wt_984
20. Our guitarist uses a peterson strobostomp and I agree, the DI is crap. We ended up buying a seperate DI. Also, the clip on the battery compartment broke on the peterson. Cheap plastic.
