1. This is for sale very reluctantly. I have recently purchased a 12 year old MIA P from a friend at a price I really couldn't turn down and don't really need 3 P's (I have a Lakkie BG too). The serial number is 2005-06. I've had it from new. It is currently loaded with Wizard Thumpers and will come with a tweed Fender gig bag. It has a lovely low action and generally plays and sounds gorgeous. There a one dink on the front which I have photographed. I'm sure it could be made to look better but I just haven't got round to it. There is also a small dink on the back edge but this cannot be seen when played and isn't as bad as the one on the front. I don't really know what these are worth so I'm open to offers or advice on the price. Sorry no trades I need the cash and a quick sale but I won't let it go for silly money. Thanks for reading.
 2. OMG... That is a beautiful maple top... I wish I had the money.. Good luck with the sale
 3. Sam. It's mainly ash with a burr madrone top. Good luck.
 4.
Would consider trade for Yamaha BB....414, 614, 415....Craig
Its up to you. I've hardly used the 5'er its as it was when you last had it.
 5. Fancy a nice black Yamaha 5 string??? Swap Ya i really liked that P of yours.
 6.
Hmmmmm....tempting. I miss my old 5 string
Mark, I'm thinking of selling it if you want it back. Great basses have a bump.
 7. Ain't no doubt Jimmy Nail. A certain Mr Pratt, I believe, was responsible for this bassline. Terrible song but one of those basslines you just have to learn...
 8. Updated. Please see initial post. Thanks.
 9.
Tempted... I've been looking for a cheap but decent 5er. Can you tell me what it's strung with and give us a quote for postage?
I don't know what its strung with TBH as they were put on new by Mark when I had it. They haven't had much use either. I reckon it'll cost about a tenner to post in the UK This is the best 5 I have ever had but I just don't use it.
 10. Wet Friday BUMP.. Ebay on Sunday if there are no offers.
 11. I had this in a trade from fellow BC'er bassman2790 a few months ago. Its a lovely bass to play (Marks' set ups are very nice and low) and sounds very very nice but having used it only at rehearsal I have realized that having gone back to four strings a few years ago I really don't need 5 anymore. I would rather sell this then trade but let me know what you have basses, effects possibly a cab of some description I'll see what you have. I will post if required at buyers expense but prefer meeting or collection. Selling price somewhere around £130. Thanks Here are the obligatory on the bed shots. ***Just been invited to join a new project where this may come in handy and having spent the afternoon noodling it just plays so nicely, i'll hang on to it a little longer.*** Thanks for any interest.
i tryed the zoom....its fast chaging patchs, soooo clean sound (no noise) , the factory patchs are very good, from distorsion, octaves , and a mix of sounds that i do not know how to drescribe !! all right sounds for a bass, plus strange sounds if you prefer synth bass. the Pedal have some direct knobs access , for EQ,, etc... i always think about Boss pedals...but the zoom is amazing..!! its 24bit converter..but inside its a 32bit !!! well the bass did not sound digital , was a nice time when i tried..did not wanted to leave the shop LOL....you can read the manual at Zoom site , just to see how it is easy to use!! Some News for Musicians .,m
Thanks for that. I'm hoping to get round to trying one soon...
 13. Mark, This is a lovely bass and if I had a bit of spare cash I would have it back. Good luck with selling it. Folkes this is a really nice bass to play and it sounds great. Mark is a great chap to deal with too..
 14.
Original for sale thread with pics http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...intage+fretless BTW the bass is now strung with Warwick red label roundwounds - flats chew up my fingers - which are marking the fretboard a bit. I wouldn't worry about it for £60 TBH. You can put flats back on if that's your preference.
PM'd. I'll have it...
 15.
I bought this on here a while ago from Marcus. I've since found that I'm no Pino Palladino and I need a cheap 5 string as a spare for gigs so it's got to go. Natural wood - it's quite a dark Bubinga type wood. Active electronics. Sounds and plays pretty well. Side of the nut is cracked but doesn't effect playability. £60 + postage. Which IIRC is what I paid for it Or even better trade me for a cheap 5 string. You won't get a better fretless for £60.
Got any PICS? I may be interested in a cheap fretless Cheers
 16.
(although the BB is so much sex I fear for my poor bass) EDIT - You obviously joined way before me, so quoting MB1, I'll just get my coat.......
It's nice but that bookmatched Burr Madrone still does it for me Sam...and blue LEDS...more expensive mmmmm The BB is one sexy bass though.
 17.
It'd be interesting to hear another player through my rig to see if it was me. I have experimented with different techniques over the years and tried playing in different positions. I think that the clinical cleanliness of the Trace may just be too clean for me.
Mark, That can be arranged if you want me to pop round. By the way, I thought your bass sound was very nice at The Mitre.
 18. EDIT - Pics added, hope Craig doesn't mind me re-using his pics, he did a sterling job!
Sam, I can't believe you're letting this go. No probs using the pics and good luck getting what you want. I can confirm that this is a beast of a bass and very very nice to play.
 19.
What backlash? I agree 100%
Thanks. I'm sure some won't.
 20. I have a new MIA Jazz that I love, a CIJ P (with Wizard Thumpers) that I love and a Lakland BG P (with Lindy Fralin's) that is awasome. They all offer me something different IMO. But if i HAD to keep one only it would be the Jazz. I don't get the 'P has One sound' though. Ok, its never going to have the variation of certain other basses with loads of EQ but you can get a fair amount of tone from a P by a twist of the tone pot and moving your right hand to play near the bridge/neck. Sit back and wait for the backlash!!!
