1.
8lbs is pretty light.... how much does the lakland weigh just out of interest?
actually I've never weighed it but it's noticably lighter 8lbs on my bathroom scales could also be wrong!!!
 2.
How much?
I'd like to see around the £650 mark or £600 with stock PUPS back in it. But I'm open to sensible offers.
 3. Happy New Year BCer's I've not had this long. Had it from a work colleague in Sept 09. He had owned the bass from new. There are no issues with this P. Plays well, looks great. There are some small dinks here and there and some buckle rash on the back of the top horn. I've tried to photograph this but it hasn't come out very well. I have changed the PUPS for the passive EMG's that you see as the stock PUPS were, IMO, awful. The stock PUPS can be supplied or refitted if desired. I also swapped the PG for the tort one. The original white one will come with it too. Reason for sale? I favour the weight and neck dimensions on my Lakkie BG. This P weighs in at 8lbs on bathroom scales. The original red lable fender case somes with it. Tradewise another Lakland, Stingray, Jazzbass... I can muster up some cash too for an appropriate trade. Thanks for looking.

 7.
It's a very good question. I've owned a lot of top end basses and am now happily living in stock Fender land. OK, these are still quite expensive instruments compared to the basses you're talking about, but they still cost less than 50% than their Sadowsky, Modulus, Musicman etc counterparts and I'm more than happy (as is evidenced by my lack of activity in the Bassess For Sale forum over the last few months). There is an assumption that 'more expensive = better' which, although true to an extent, is moderated by individual skill and needs factors. I've found basses that are sufficiently expensive to meet my skills and needs and have learned that more expensive instruments only disappoint. Better players with greater needs perhaps require more expensive basses? Chris
+1
 8.
Does anyone know if there is some online info on painting basses and guitars i.e. painting over the original colour.
This is quite interesting http://home.flash.net/~guitars/solids.html Have fun
 9.
Gotta say I love Guy Pratt's tone on the Pink Floyd 'Pulse' tour/DVD. Cheers, James
+1 on that. Also Pino's stuff (fretted) with John Mayer is also nice. Very warm.

 11. I've been thinking of moving this on (I might be mad as its a real nice head) I'm scaling down a little and would like to get a nice combo. It is effectively brand new. The first one I had developed a fault (I'm assured this is a very rare occurrence for one of these) and was replaced with a new one. Its had two rehearsals since I've had it and that was without a drummer so it wasn't being pushed at all. I have all original packaging too and can provide pics if you like but it is as new. Here are the specs from the web site http://www.philjonesbass.com/pjbdirect/pro...;products_id=48 I would like a firm £450. Thanks

 15.
Rough ball park figure?
I was hoping, with upgraded pick ups and the gig bag to be close to the 400 mark.
