    It is inspired by the Epiphone Coronet guitar and Newport bass seen to the gumbyesque body shape and pickguard, for sure. In terms of playability this is - dare I say - way better though. Here’s another pic of my bass from the Serek factory floor: It plays like a dream, weighs less than 3kg and sounds incredible. Another beast than my JMJ and P-bass. I highly recommend all short scale fans contemplating whether to purchase a slightly more expensive bass to order one (if low output thump is what you need)!

    Thanks for tagging me, guys. I’m afraid it is just a bit too pricey for me, especially so considering the import duties and taxes and all (thanks Brexs*it!). The bass is lovely though!

    Up for grabs is a one-of-a-kind boutique distortion pedal - the Z.Vex Basstortion. This particular pedal is built in Minneapolis, Minnesota 8.16.13 and hand-painted. The serial number read A-16. It delivers a great SVT like tone and works great! The pedal has never left the house since I bought it and looks like new. It will ship in the original box (without external power supply).     - SOLD - The bass is built out of: An original Fender Precision Bass neck marked "R. Friend" and "3181". This means the neck was built on the 31st of July in 1978 (Week 31, year 78 - 8-, first day of the week -1). This neck has seen some action during the years and has been repaired some couple of decades ago (please see attached pictures). The neck has been taken to the local luthier, equipped with a new bone nut and refretted with stainless jumbo steel frets. It plays great and the truss rod works fine. Original late 70's Fender hardware (tuners, bridge) A very resonant and light weight body (unknown brand). The body has been stripped and refinished in a nitrocellulose surf green laquer. The cavities are shielded with copper tape. Please note that the laquer is a bit cracked, show signs of wear and is starting to get a beautiful "Manhattan" pattern. Seamour Duncan Basslines pickup (SBP-1) Parchment pickguard from WD. This is a very light (~3,4kg) and resonant player! The bass is currently strung with GHS flats and will be shipped in an old 70's black hard case in fair condition. PRICE: SOLD

    An Aguilar Tone Hammer Preamp/DI up for grabs. It is in great condition with slight traces of wear (a hairline crack in the finish and two straps of Velcro underneath).
