  1. Yes not good
  2. Assuming I also changed avatar, sig etc?
  3. Thanks. Putting feedback to one side, if I change my username today would there be any way another member would know or could check whether the owner of the new username used to be @Beedster?
  4. I find it’s less the complexity of the processes than the complexity of the writing that describes the processes. It’s like learning statistics, every book is written by a statistician, and they don’t think like the rest of us. Same with tech, guy who helps me out is lovely but often after a very long explanation that I failed to decipher I’ll ask him to explain as if to an idiot and bingo. There seems to be a tendency among experts to make the thing in which they’re expert seem more complex than it is 🤔
  5. Thanks, happy with East Street?
  6. There’s no way I could, for example check a member’s profile to find out if they changed their username but kept the same profile (perhaps to keep their status/reputation points)?
  7. In my experience nine times out of ten it’s laziness. Edit: quoted the wring post, meant to cite Kev’s
  8. So logical that I will call you Mr Spock going forwards 👍
  9. Following up a discussion the other day, and a couple of members having done it recently, I’m just curious as to how feedback - among other things - works?
  10. If a singer had been singing the same setlist for 10 years then a music stand that he’s owned since he learned violin at school in the 70s plonked right in front of his face at gigs is at best a comfort blanket, at worst amateur musicianship, but either way should not be there. Mention no names, but you know who you are, so just stop it 😄
  11. In the 80’s I’m not sure I was always sure what song we were actually playing
  12. Bothers me hugely, probably shouldn’t, but does 🤔
  13. That was comedy, I think my sole contribution on the final page summed it up perfectly 👍
  14. More likely to find several 1.5mm Allen Keys because they’re sure as hell never where I left them when I want to adjust a bridge 🤔
  15. It was the gig in question that made me realise that not only could I play the whole set fretless, but that it was a lot more challenging and enjoyable, the band seemed to prefer it because it gave us more options (plus a small extra USP), and while I’m not the best judge, I think it sounded better in most tracks. I wasn’t doing cliche fretless - not a chorus or sliding double stop in sight - I was simply playing the existing lines without frets. It was a enjoyable period 👍
  16. What counts as ‘mainstream commercial success’ is very different today than in Miller’s era though 👍
  17. GAS makes a mess of even the best laid plans mate. And I really should inspect the box a little more closely 😆
  18. When I played electric exclusively taking one fretted and one fretless worked really well, each could be backup for the other if needed, but it also gave me lots of options. The first rock/indie set I did exclusively on fretless, and completely on a whim about 5-mins before the gig, was a revelation for me, if not the audience
  19. Never trust Talkbass. Glad to hear she's doing significantly better than was rumoured Tim 👍
  20. Which of course was my point, she apparently struggled to get gigs post-Justin, part of the problem being the still male dominated Nashville session scene
  21. That f***ing board 👌
  22. @spongebob did everything work out OK?
