  1. Beautiful rig, and some people think an SVT and a fridge is the ultimate 🙂
  2. Apologies, no longer needed apparently. Beautiful looking guard, won't be here long 👍
  3. I think I know someone who needs this can you hold it @MattyK
  4. … in the old days PayPal defaulted to e-cheque when you made a payment without sufficient funds in your account. Meant you could buy something, for example a BIN on eBay, and then you had several days to find the cash to clear the cheque
  5. Buyer hasn’t got the money or is up to something
  6. Mmm, e-cheque, nothing but trouble in my experience. if anyone paid me that way these days the deal would be off, in fact I didn't know they still existed to be honest. As others have said, do not let go of the bass and even if it clears - a big if - check your rights, you might find the reason the buyer has used e-cheque is to make an dodgy reclaim of the money easier. You said above that you felt nervous, I suspect you have good reason to be honest. Hope it works out OK 👍
  7. He's in Swindon, your near Bedford, if he turns it up a bit you'll probably hear it mate
  8. Just for a second I thought you had a bearded Tom Petty on guitar! Like it Blue, nice work mate 👍
  9. The only Fender bridges I've seen with a Fender stamp were the 80's high mass versions (and I suspect the new high mass might have stamps also), the BBOTs tend not to have any stamps/identification
  10. No, not unless it's a model I've not come across Is it the same as the photos in the eBay listing, if not I would send that back for a full refund, if it is I guess it's a case of buyer beware (and if you try to get a refund there's a good chance the seller will respond 'You got the item in the photos which I personally removed from a MIJ '99 Jazz' or similar guff) Sorry I can't be more help
  11. Thanks Walshy, timely with a large Mesa rig about to head north (possibly anyway) 👍
  12. All's well that ends well mate 👍
  13. T’was the O/P’s rejection of advice along the lines of ‘have you never been in a band’ that encouraged me to engage in a rather negative tone. And yes, arguing for being highly experienced while apparently not fully understanding the amplification issue in question could be interpreted as contradictory. Anyway, my apologies, welcome @Benji85, stick around, stay lively, and enjoy it. We’re mostly decent folks here 👍
  14. Really like the look and feel of this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325701115499?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qi249DpnTHW&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=155UlNbXQGW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  15. For someone who's been in so many bands and is so knowledgable, you don't seem to understand amplification very well.... 🤔
  16. Might need to broaden your horizons a little then
  17. As is returant
  18. Great attitude to bring as a new member, perhaps do some homework?
  19. Not my thing, the technique on display is to me far more consistent with sport performance than performance art. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have 10% of the technical ability, but if so I'd not choose to do that with it 👍
  20. Most of the gigs that stand out in my memory have been to small audiences 👍
  21. At those prices it might as well say Fender on the headstock, and if they were Fender they wouldn’t look like cheap bitsas. Nothing attractive about thise to my eye at all
  22. Perhaps you just prefer the sound of a downtuned bass, perhaps you have a instrument that - for whatever reason (resonance?) sounds better down-tuned. Who knows, but if you like it, keep it for down-tuned and get another bass for E-tuning. that way you have another bass which is always good
  23. If I bought that I could be really sh*t at two instruments at the same time, which I'd guess is some sort of improvement on being really sh*t at only one? But bloody hell, 12-string Strats do have a rather special tone......
  24. Very nice and a very good price, this will solve a lot of 'getting DB to and from gig' problems for someone as mine did when I had it
