I am back. Last night i chaged my choice to Ibanez gwb1005. I played bouth gwb1005 and jazz bass for 3 hours in to my headphones, studio monitors and through my amp and decided that my Ibanez is better in tone, lighter, more frets and strings and a lot confortable to play, a lower string action. Everything was better for me and yes i will choose gwb1005. You were right - i had do it myself - decide. Thanks again for the advices.

Actually, a lot of songs i play a very lead on bass and they realy like what i play, they just prey me what to choose. I think the jazz bass is more universal and i will use it, but that doesn't mean that my gwb1005 is down and i will never touch it. No way, i really like it and there will be a lot chances for it in my future. Thanks for Your advices.

What do You mean with "i need some". Do You need the specifications - Both are fretless. Fender is 4 string alder body, maple neck, pao ferro fingerboard, 2 vintage single coil pickups, passive. Ibanez is hand made by Sugi guitars Japan, swamp ash body, 3 piece maple nech, ebonol fingerboard, bartolini bridge GWB soapbar pickup, active electronics treble/bass, 5 string.

Hi, what would You choose if You had to play in the band that plays pop, rock, funk, disco, blues and latin. Fender Jaco artist jazz bass or Ibanez GWB1005 ? To me - i like the sound even, bouth have their great tone, but the band wants me to mainly play on one bass all the time. Help me.

I think that on bolt ons the body wood gives a little effect on tone, but neckthroughs a much bigger. On frettless - the nech and fingerboard wood gives a very big effect.

It means that Jaco Pastorius is still alive.

I have played 22, but only on roundwounds, kind of scare to try flats How did You liked those flats after 30 roundwound years ?

I have a different story. 22 years i started to play bass with my first Musima white 4 string fretted precission. After 1 year i started to listen a lot of Jaco and all turned upside down. I realised that fretless is an absolutelly different instrument than fretted bass. I bought a Fender MIM jazz bass and defretted it. My sound vision turned upside down and i quickly saw these exelent things what could i do with fretless. I bought Fender Jaco artist. Then i heard Gary Willis playing on his GWB1005 and got my sound perfectly. That's it. I momentaly bought it and will say that for me it is the best fretless bass currently on earth. So it's about 20 years i have played only fretless basses.

I currently already own the 2nd version after natural, what i would like, but if i wouldn't own it, i would look like it that way.

If You suddenly had a need for a wah-wah fx, what would You choose Dunlop crybaby or one of autowah pedals ? I took Crybaby.
