  1. I just found Rusty Cage to be an endurance test. It's fast and doesn't give you a rest
  2. Now I see. Weird rhythms. Something I need to get better at, it'll be a good exercise.
  3. One inch man - Kyuss
  4. Not sure what you mean there. The Pre chorus sounds like there's a couple tricky little bits but nothing too unreasonable.
  5. That's some nice equipment. That'll explain the great sound
  6. Diamond Eyes - Deftones
  7. I really enjoyed learning Losing My Religion by REM so thought I'd try another of their songs. What's the Frequency Kenneth was an alt rock classic from my youth. Turns out it's not as easy as I expected. It's a good one though
  8. There's very few metal bands using a 6 string basses. Dingwall aren't just a metal brand, they're just very good at it
  9. I can't imagine Jackson or Charvel making a 6 string either. Their customers are generally rock and metal players rather than jazz or gospel.
  10. Very nice. That's a great bass sound, what gear are you using?
  11. It doesn't really seem to fit their business model of making lots of very slightly different versions of the same models they've made for 60 years. It's a model that seems to work very well for them. If they made a 6 string it would probably only be a £6000 custom shop job
  12. 16 Psyche - Chelsea Wolfe A dark, dark song
  13. I've used a Peavey Zephyr (2 humbucker passive 5 string 35" scale) and a couple Stingrays (single humbucker active 35" scale)
  14. That's not cheap. I can live with ugly,I'm no oil painting myself.
  15. I don't know. Not something I'd thought of
  16. I'm using the heaviest 4 out of a 5 string set so they should be right.
  17. I like my Mexican standard P bass but tuned down to A# it's a bit wooley on the lowest string compared to 5 strings I've used previously. The obvious difference is the 1" longer scale length. Is there a 35" scale neck I can get put on the 4 string precision?
  18. White Zombie - Creature of the Wheel
  19. Fear of the dark - Iron Maiden
  20. Just like heaven - The Cure
  21. Brick by boring brick - Paramore
  22. The entire Coldplay back catalogue
  23. Death - White Lies
  24. Toxic garbage island - Gojira
  25. FNM have such an amazing range of musical styles, often all in one song. I love the way they can go from heavy, distorted metal with growling straight in to almost lounge jazz with super slick vocals and it just sounds right. I really hope they manage at least one more record. I really like the last one.
