  1. Gold Lion - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
  2. I'm enjoying a bit of Bossk. British Post metal band. This track in particular has just blown my mind. It goes so many places from a solo trumpet to huge wall of guitar noise and everything in between.
  3. Snot unusual - Tom Jones
  4. There's a few Lemmy statues already. There's one in LA and one at the Hellfest site in Clisson, France. There can't be many musicians with multiple statues. I think Freddie Mercury has a few.
  5. Well deserved. I can't think of a more iconic and influential rock star than Lemmy. He'll really brighten up that Metropolis
  6. Slip - Quicksand A nice bit of post hardcore
  7. I've been looking at Spector Dimension 5 basses and used ones are barely any cheaper than new. I'm starting to think I may as well buy new
  8. Digging The Grave - Faith No More
  9. Roots Bloody Roots - Sepultura
  10. When I was in a band, we were the only sludge metal band in our area and our lyrics were weirder than anyone else's.
  11. Naked in the rain - Red Hot Chilli Peppers (when they were good)
  12. I've found that darkglass pedals work perfectly well with active basses (they have to, active is really common in metal) but my main source of distortion now is a Two Notes Revolt valve preamp pedal. I usually run it in to my amp but it sounds just as good as a DI
  13. Zombie Eaters - Faith No More
  14. Death in April - Made out of Babies If you like creative, heavy rock music, check out this band and Julie Christmas with her solo band. It's all really good
  15. Gravedigger Song - Mark Lannegan
  16. Dead skin mask - Slayer
  17. Holy crap that's good
  18. I'd start with Repeater then 13 Songs
  19. It's only one riff (with slight variations) but an awesome riff.
  20. Today I decided to learn some Fugazi songs. I knew there were some great bass parts but I'd never realised how great. I learned Waiting Room first, dead simple and absolutely brilliant then on to Turnover which was much more tricky and so much fun to play. Going from the fast middle riff back in to the main riff is really tricky (for me) Any recommendations for more I should learn?
  21. Green machine - Kyuss
