  1. Today I decided to learn some Fugazi songs. I knew there were some great bass parts but I'd never realised how great. I learned Waiting Room first, dead simple and absolutely brilliant then on to Turnover which was much more tricky and so much fun to play. Going from the fast middle riff back in to the main riff is really tricky (for me) Any recommendations for more I should learn?
  2. Green machine - Kyuss
  3. Milquetoast - Helmet
  4. Two cups of tea - Star F***ing Hipsters
  5. I bought an Ibanez SR800 from them a few years ago. The preamp made a horrible noise but you wouldn't know unless you turned the amp very loud. They took it straight back and paid for the return courier. Things go wrong sometimes and it's how they deal with it that makes the difference and I couldn't fault how they dealt with it.
  6. I'm looking forward to the road worn Steve Jobs signature model app
  7. Will there be a cheaper and better quality Japanese version of Reverb?
  8. There was nothing like a 90's mosh pit.
  9. They've got loads of shows booked. I highly getting out to see them.
  10. There was some really great metal coming from the south of the US at that time. Plus we also had Sepultura, Life of Agony and Fear Factory plus British bands like Therapy? and The Almighty and the whole grunge scene as well. It was a great time to be in to noisy music. It all ended when Limp Bizkit and Blink 182 came along. They were just terrible.
  11. Battle Axe - Deftones
  12. I had it on in the car this morning. 1000 Year Internal War - Crowbar
  13. Eternal Kingdom - Cult of Luna / Julie Christmas / Pertubator
  14. Their glam records? Metal Magic, Projects in the jungle, I am the night and Power metal?
  15. This an interesting interview with the most under appreciated member of Pantera. If you're not aware of his work, have a listen to this. The bass behind the guitar solo is absolutely brilliant. He does such a good job of backing up Dime's guitar wizardry
  16. White willows - Kadabra
  17. March to the sea - Baroness
  18. Visions (Planet of doom) - Elephant Tree One of my current favourite bands
  19. Thanks for that info. It's actually Spectors I'm looking at. I've been considering a Euro 5 or Dimension 5 if I an audition goes well next weekend.
  20. Thanks @Steve Browning I was looking at one from Sound Store Japan. Free delivery but customs duties to be paid by buyer. I guess that'll be 20% extra which could push the price of the used bass to near enough the same price as a new one from Andertons
  21. I'm seeing lots of basses for sale from Japan on ebay. Has anyone here bought from a Japanese seller? Did it take a long time to arrive? Would you recommend it?
  22. Finland - Cult Of Luna
  23. Well that makes more sense. They really buried that rather important bit of info
  24. Is this really worth £45,000? You'd think something this expensive would have a bit in the description about how amazing it is. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156897867275?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=lzb7hzhfthw&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9V8HKDKxT8C&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
